    Advertise with IP!

    Over 1,000 people will be attending the performances of Newsies; what a great way to advertise your business!

    Quarter page $15

    Submission Process

    • Purchase your advertisement from our on-line store using the link through the cast resource page.

    • Email your advertisement as a pdf or jpeg to [email protected].

    • Week 1 advertisements are due by Wednesday, July 10th.

    • Week 2 advertisements are due by Wednesday, July 17th.

    Giving to Inspired Purpose

    We have been blessed by the generous donations of our

    supporters! These financial gifts help us with set production,

    technology upgrades, and scholarships. Ticket sales and

    production fees allow us to meet our operating costs, but we rely

    on YOU to help us grow by introducing more students and

    families to Inspired Purpose! Please consider donating, and we

    will add your name to our IP Allies page!

    *Inspired Purpose is a ministry of The Church KC which is a non-profit

    organization. All donations are tax deducible! Remember us in your giving. Checks can be made out to “The Church KC” with “IP” in the memo line.

    $5 Congratulation Ads

    We know you are incredibly proud of your student for his/her

    hard work and dedication during Newsies. Recognize that

    achievement by including your congratulations in our program

    with a congratulations ad. Only $5! Email your message and

    optional photo to [email protected].

    • 75 word maximum.

    • You may include a photograph.

    • Email to [email protected].

    • Week 1 ads are due by Wednesday, July 10th.

    • Week 2 ads are due by Wednesday, July 17th.

    Cast/Crew Bios

    Please help your student complete a biography for our pre-show

    bio slide show. It’s easy with our online system! Just go the cast

    resource page and follow the instructions.

    Tips for writing your bio:

    • Write your bio in the "3rd person" using your first name only.

    For example: This is Hannah’s second show with IP. She is in

    9th grade at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School.”

    • Feel free to include other productions you have been a part of,

    your hobbies, special thanks, a Bible verse, etc.

    • It’s okay to be funny, but remember, the purpose of the bio is

    to let the audience get to know you, so do not include any

    “inside” or inappropriate jokes.

    • There is not a word limit, but shorter bios are encouraged.

    (There isn’t too much time allotted per slide in the bio slide show.)

    BIO EXAMPLE: Mindy is so excited to be the Director/

    Choreographer for Newsies! She is the Artistic Director for Inspired

    Purpose. Mindy is no stranger to the stage. She has been involved in

    over 200 musicals as an actress, director, or choreographer! Favorite

    roles include Sister Mary Mildred in Sister Act (New Theatre), Ernestina

    Money in Hello Dolly! (MTH), and Penny in Hairspray (GTIP). She is

    so grateful to The Church KC family, her incredible parents, her

    wonderfully supportive fiancé Brice Belden, but most of all to the Lord

    for her talents. Zeph 3:17

    Important Information

    • Links for the script, vocal book, and costume booklet are all

    available on the Cast Resource Page. The link to that page has

    been emailed to you. (If you haven’t been receiving emails

    from us, let us know!)

    • The Rehearsal Schedule will be available on the Cast Re-

    source Page as soon as it's available.

    • Cast members arrive at 8:50am to check-in. We start promptly

    at 9am.

    • Attendance is vital… Be on time everyday; check in with

    Lainney Obenshain — our Stage Manager.

    • Lunch—bring your own each day or bring money for the

    Canteen. (No one is allowed to leave for lunch).

    • Bring all costume pieces on the first day.

    • All lines and solos must be word-perfect before the start of the

    first rehearsal.

    • An official Facebook event has been created, please join the

    event and share it with others.

    • Please use the Newsies promo cards to help spread the word

    and to invite people to our show!

    Volunteer Committees

    Want to get plugged in? If you would like to volunteer, we would

    love to have your help! (Not required but appreciated!)

    We have four committees to choose from:

    • Set Building

    • July 1st: 9am to 9pm - primarily building.

    • July 2nd: 9am to 9pm - building and painting.

    • July 3rd: 9am to 9pm - primarily painting.

    All able-bodied people are welcome to help us build the set: cast members, family, and friends!

    • Newspaper Collection

    • We are collecting newspaper, especially the black and

    white print without color.

    • Lobby Decoration and Design

    • Meets during show week.

    • Concessions

    • Volunteer sign ups available on the first day of camp.

    Ticket Information

    • $8 suggested donation for general seating.

    • $12 suggested donation for premium seating.

    • Tickets are sold online at through the link on the cast page.

    • You may also purchase tickets at the door or during rehearsal.
