The Winged Wonders Education Butterfly Lab inspires a connection to the natural world as a unique, interactive learning experience with live Monarch butterflies. The Winged Wonders Education Butterfly Lab creates a learning environment with butterfly tent (indoor or outdoor set-up) with live butterflies (eggs, caterpillars, chrysalides if in season), nectar and host plants, and educational materials and lessons (i.e. non-fiction and fiction books, field guides, posters, magnifying lenses, lifecycle coloring pages, nature journals). The Winged Wonders Education Butterfly Lab experience includes a mini-lesson introducing students to the care, feeding, and handling of live butterflies, netting techniques, and the monarch butterfly lifecycle. Live Monarch Butterfly Group Releases and Migrating Monarchs Tagging Workshops are available through Winged Wonders Education as well. Winged Wonders Education programs nurture a child’s natural curiosity and sense of awe through hands-on learning and reflective teaching practices.
