Come be a part of an active discussion involving activities focused on mood in regards to optimal health and well-being using specific techniques. Each 45-minute session in this 5-part series

Deep Sea Fishing Trip!

Join us on Thursday, June 28, aboard The Sunbeam fishing boat in Waterford, CT for a day of deep sea fishing! The cost of $69.00 includes fishing for striped bass & bluefish, transportation, rod and reel rental, and cleaning of fish (please tip the mate 15% if possible). Bring your own cooler, food, and non-alcoholic drinks. The bus leaves the Windsor Senior Center at 6:15 AM and returns at 3:30 PM. Sign up in the office or call 860-285-1992. Credit cards accepted.

Windsor Trail Riders

It’s not too late to join the Windsor Trail Riders bicycling group! We ride every Tuesday morning from April to October. The following is our June schedule: June 5-Farmington Canal Heritage Trail (FCHT) to Phelps Rd. North, 10:00 a.m.; June 12-FCHT to Phelps Rd. South, 10:00 a.m.; June 19-Northhampton, 9:00 a.m. (meet at Sr. Ctr.); June

~ Holiday Hill Senior Picnic ~ Mark your calendars now for the Holiday Hill Senior Picnic in Prospect, CT on Monday, August 20. Did you attend last year’s picnic? If not, you missed a day full of fun, dancing and merriment! Unlimited break-fast buffet, lunch truck, heated pools, bocce and bingo games, and raffles with great prizes! Join us on Friday, June 8, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, as professional chef and owner of October Kitchen, as well as certified health coach, Paul Fin-ney, present preventive steps to take in order to stay independent at home. They will discuss proper nutri-tion, effective exercise plans and safe living environ-ments. A complementary chef-prepared lunch will be served and we will have a free raffle! Seating lim-ited. “Operation Lifesaver” On Thursday, June 28, from 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM the Windsor Senior Center and the Connecticut Dept. of Transporta-tion - Operation Lifesaver - will

be sponsoring a railroad safety seminar. The event will take place in our café and will be conducted by Operation Lifesaver staff and include a short video. There will also be a question and answer session after the presentation. If you would like to attend this edu-cative event, please sign up in the office or call 860-285-1992. Free!

NEW! Silver Jewelry Class! Sign up for our new silver jewelry class that will be held on June 18, 19 & 20 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at our Senior Center. This class will deal with the creative use of precious metal clay, and pieces of di-chroic glass will also be provided to add to your piece. Instructed by the talented Wayne Martin, the cost is $40 for the 3 sessions which includes all mate-rials and instruction. Please see flyer in the office for

Starting June 6, 2018 for alternating Wednes-day shopping trips to Target/Stop & Shop, Wal-Mart/Big Y: The driver will start pick ups at 11 AM and bring you to the store for shopping from 12 PM to 2 PM. Pickups may start as early as 11 AM to ensure 12 PM arrival at stores to allow for the 2 hour shopping time. Also, please be mindful of the policy regarding number of bags. We request that you do not take more than 4 parcels on the vehicle at one time. The driver will only carry 2 bags of groceries during grocery shopping trips. The driver will not carry cases of beverages. Thank you.
