CASH PROCESSES

SERVICES

Under our Branch topic, we present forward-lookingways of implementing branch concepts that willoptimize your time, cost and business processes. Forself-service and mini branches - we visualize realistictotal design concepts with appropriate equipment.

Banks need efficient links for their branch-based andelectronic delivery channels so that customers haveaccess to banking services wherever, whenever andvia whichever channel they prefer. ProClassic/Enter-prise shows you how to converge your delivery chan-nels and integrate them into the delivery process viaone-to-one marketing.

One of the bank branch's most cost-intensive proces-ses is its cash service. Under the Cash theme, weshow you how in-depth analysis allows you to opti-mize your cash processes with perfect interplay bet-ween hardware and software.

(see pages 50-57)

Globalization, tougher competition and changingstructures are the challenges now facing financialservices providers. Driven by competition, innovationpressure and the growing needs of bank customersmake it necessary to integrate new electronic deliverychannels and innovative product and service solutionsin the IT.

Individual consulting, innovative product solutionsand end-to-end services – solutions and expertisefrom a single source.

Wincor Nixdorf presents a products and services port-folio that is geared to the specific needs and problemsof the banking sector, focusing on the themes Branch,Multichannel and Cash.

Cash ManagementGearing cash holdings in cashpoints to actual needshelps reduce the cost of interest and CiT operatoractivities. Shifting cash transactions onto self-servicemachines frees up capacity for consulting work with-out restricting service availability. Deposits made bycustomers replenish ATMs and the cash is used indispense transactions, thereby optimizing personnel-,cost- and time-intensive processes.

Changing the replenishment intervals for cashpointsand shifting all teller-based cash transactions to self-service systems generates major savings potential.

We show how varying branch cash processes can beoptimized throughout the financial institution.

MULTICHANNEL

Multichannel banking means converging all traditio-nal and alternative delivery channels onto a uniformarchitecture platform. Wincor Nixdorf paves the waywith its multichannel platform ProClassic/Enterprise.The starting point is an identical system architecturefor the branch and self-service systems, integrating allthe other delivery channels.

MAKUBRANCH –COST-EFFECTIVEBRANCH OPERATIONS

BANKING

The challenges presented by the need to guarantee optimum avail-ability and to identify and exploit optimization potential in order to cutcosts are more important than ever before. The branch continues to bekey to personal customer relationships but still generates costs that arefar too high. Wincor Nixdorf shows you how to cut costs by optimizingyour business processes – e.g. by shifting processes to self-servicesystems. This frees up capacity for a qualified customer consultingservice.

BRANCH DESIGN

MINI BRANCH

We show how interior design must be changed to gear staff, IT androom structures to new delivery concepts. We focus on ways ofachieving efficient, low-cost branch operations and on branch re-design, which is a key factor in winning and retaining customers.

Running a mini branch with a minimum of staff, in extreme cases withonly one employee, is a much discussed theme. How can you complywith the “two-pairs-of-eyes” regulation with only one member of staff?Come and find out how to make optimal use of all your resources.

ProCash/FOnetThe ProCash/FOnet – FrontOffice network – solutionenables mini branches to beoperated with only one emplo-yee on duty. As part of theattended self-service concept,it shifts teller-based cashtransactions onto self-servicesystems.

2524

SELF-SERVICE BRANCH

Cash deposits and dispensing, statement and docu-ment printing, funds transfer orders and even simpleconsulting services can now be handled round theclock (24 x 7) on machines. Wincor Nixdorf showcasesa self-service branch with systems that offer the re-quisite performance and maximum availability.

End-to-end loan process optimization

Analysis and process simulation to optimize branchprocesses. Identification of standardization, centrali-zation and automation potential for transactions usingthe BranchLab analysis and simulation tool.

Loan processes no longer automatically involvecustomers paying a visit to their local bank. The end-to-end loan process concept is based on optimization thatis independent of a specific delivery channel. Thismeans that loan requests, consulting, application andapproval can be handled, for example, on self-servicesystems or the Internet. At the same time, the conceptis based on maximum automation, allowing economiesof scale to be achieved not only in consulting but aboveall in processing.

Corporate processes must be improved so that bankscan fully exploit their optimization potential. We pre-sent end-to-end loan and document management pro-cesses to show the process flows that can be im-proved by optimizing time and costs.

TRANSACTION TERMINALS

A device formerly launched as a “plain” statementprinter has evolved to become a multifunction con-sulting terminal. With a wide range of potential appli-cations, the terminal has made a name for itself outsidethe banking sector. This success is based on the factthat shifting teller-based processes to self-serviceterminals has made it possible to extend customerservices. At the same time, major cost reductions havebeen achieved. The wide range of products and themaximum flexibility in the individual product groupsmakes it possible to gear solutions optimally to varyingcustomer needs.
