Monthly Bingo at Southern Manor - We will be playing bingo at Southern Manor each month. The March bingo party is Thursday, March 5. Call to register. The van will run after school. BB Team - Practices will continue at the McGill Woodruff AG Center on Tuesdays and Thurs-days. Team members are selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts, coffee or vouchers for $7 per dozen. Shotgun -Practices are every Sunday beginning Sunday, February 2 at 2:00pm at the Wildlife Action Club. Registration is $100.00. Air Rifle/22 Team-Registration is $50.00. If interested please call the 4-H Office MilkMake Contest-Monday, February 24-Open to 4th-8th graders. Create or find a recipe for your favorite milk drink and submit by Friday, February 14 to the 4-H Office. Van will pick up for contest. Prizes awarded for most nutritious, appeal, creativity, recipe content and presentation. You must supply your ingredients for the contest. Poultry Judging-Come and learn about the poultry industry and how to judge chickens and eggs. Practices are every Tuesday beginning March 3 after school. The 4-H van will run after school. The area contest is April 24 in Oglethorpe. Open to all 4-Hers. No practice over Spring Break. Junior Camp-will be held June 8-12 at Fortson 4-H Center. Open to 7th –8th graders. Cost is $380.00 with deposit of $125.00 due at registration. Includes visits to Stone Mountain, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Atlanta Motor Speedway and souvenir t-shirt. Limited number of spac-es, first come. Wilderness Challenge Camp-will be held at Wahsega 4-H Center July 6-10. Open to 7th-8th graders. Cost is $380.00 with deposit of $125.00 due at registration. Includes canopy zip lining, river swimming, whitewater rafting trip, and overnight backpack. Limited space, first come. Marine Resource Camp-will be held June 29-July 3 and July 13-17 at Burton 4-H Center. Open to 7th-8th graders. Cost is $350.00 with deposit of $125.00 due at registration. Includes paddle boarding/kayaking, marsh trawl, shark dissection, swim shirt and more. Limited space, first come. Senior Camp-will be held May 25-29 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Open to 9th-12th graders. Cost is $365.00 with deposit of $125.00 due at registration. Includes the cost of field trip to UGA cam-pus and on-campus dining hall, other social and service activities. Limited space, first come. Senior Extreme Camp-will be held June 8-12. Open to 9th-12th graders. This is a more primitive camping experience at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Optional white water rafting trip is available. Cost is $365.00 with deposit of $125 due at registration. Cloverleaf Camp Teen leader-We are now taking applications for Cloverleaf Camp teen leaders. You must be a rising 9th thru 12th grade certified teen leader and able to attend camp June 22-26 at Wahsega 4-H Center. Pick up an application at the Extension Office and return by April 3. Teen leaders who are selected will be notified by April 10. $175 will be the teen leader's cost for camp and due immediately. Pop Tabs-Keep collecting your Pop Tabs to turn in at your next club meeting. All collections due at the May Club meeting.

4-H News Activities & Events for 4-H’ers

Junior Journal (Activities for 7th and 8th graders only)

Jr. District Project Achievement is quickly approaching. We need to start working on demonstrations. If you are in a project that has a speech with posters or PowerPoint, you will need to set up a time to meet with Ms. Audra and begin working. On Wednes-day, February 26 all speech demonstrations are to be presented. You should have it all together at this point. There will be no computers, printers, poster making supplies available for public use on those days. You can come in anytime before this date for assistance. On Tuesday, February 25 all cooking demos and performances are to be presented.

Senior Conference—The statewide 4-H Senior Conference will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Early Bird registration is $70. After Fri-day, March 20 registration will be $75. The weekend will include classes on relation-ships, manners, etiquette, and dancing, semi-formal dance, and outdoor after-dance party including inflatable obstacles and slides, snacks, and a lot of fun. Space is limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Cloverleaf Corner (Activities for 4th, 5th and 6th Graders Only)

Cloverleaf Camp—will be held June 22-26 at Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega. Cloverleaf Camp is open to 4th—6th graders (Youth must be at least 9yrs old). You will have an awesome week of making new friends, swimming, tubing, dancing, wall climbing and lots of other fun activities. Cost is $310.00 with deposit of $100.00 due at sign-up. We have 40 spaces. Camp sign up begins Friday, January 31.
