Step One: Research the Show
Reasons why to do research: Get an understanding of the plot Know more about the characters you want to audition
for Understand the time period of the show
Double check rehearsal times So it doesn’t interfere with your schedule
Step 2: Your Resume
Shows your past experiences in theatre
Also can showcase any special skills you have Examples: Knows fight
choreography, or can speak another language
By giving your information, they know how to contact you.
Headshot is also helpful so they remember you.
Monologue Song from a Musical
Easy to find on the internet.
Make sure the monologue is age appropriate, and fits that sort of character

If it’s a musical, choreographer will teach you some dance steps from show.

Enjoy what you do during an audition.You don't have to love auditioning itself, but
you should the work once you get it. Really get into what you're doing because
there is no second chance, you have to show them the peak of your talent and your most vibrant side so go all out.
