The internet This is so fluid that I have not been able to recommend as many sites as I hoped, as they have disappeared since I worked from them. Just ‘Google’ in the general areas recommended. The BBC is useful both for information and games. See <www.bbc.co.uk/history>. Nova Online from the PBS network in America has some excellent sites, including one on the underwater excavations in Alexandria, as well as the pyramids and Vikings sites recommended in the text. Wikipedia and Columbia Encylopedia sometimes have good articles.
