THE WIGTON WORD SUMMER SPECTACULAR!

The school newspaper tells you what's been happening throughout this

academic year at Wigton Moor. The Wigton Word gives you information on

what's been happening from the reception classes all the way to year 6

including some puzzles!!

Recipesvanilla cupcakes

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cupssugar

2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup shortening cream

3/4 cup milk

(or half and half cream)1 tablespoon

vanilla 2 large

eggs( p.s. The recipe is on the other page )

Method

1 Set oven to 350 degrees F.

2 In a large bowl, mix together the flour with sugar, baking powder and salt until combined.

3 Add in the shortening cream or milk, vanilla and eggs; beat on medium speed of an electric mixer scraping the bowl constantly until just blended (the batter will be thick, if desired you may add in a few more tablespoons cream or milk).

4 Pour into paper-lined regular size muffin tins filling under just three-quarters full.

5 Bake for 20-22 minutes or until the cupcakes test done (do not over bake as they will be dry).

6 Immediately remove from pans.

7 Cool completely before frosting.

Frozen is a new movie that was released in November the 19th

2013. The movie is about a fearless girl called Anna who sets of an epic journey, teaming up with a man

called Kristoff and his loyal reindeer, Sven to find her sister

Elsa, whose icy powers have been trapped in the kingdom of

Arendella in eternal winter. A hilarious snowman named Olaf,

Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the

kingdom.
