The IX-Convocation of the ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (Deemed University),Izatnagar (U.P.) i~ scheduled to be held on Sth November, 2016 (Saturday).

All those who have successfully completed the requirements for the PhD / MVSc degreeprogrammes of the ICAR-I.V.R.I., (Deemed University) between Academic session 2013-14 to 201S-16 are invited to receive their degrees. The prescribed dress codes for attending the convocation areas follows:

White Pant & ShirtWhite Sari with Red Border.

All the willing students who would be receiving the degree at the Convocation in-personshouid be present at the full dress rehearsal and have to report on 4th November, 2016 morning.positively; failing which he/she would not be admitted to the Convocation.

Proforma of willingness and Instructions to those who desire to receive their degreecertificate in-person is also available on IVRI Website for information and compliance.

The fee for sending the degree certificate in absentia is Rs.600/-. Hence, in case, you are not ina position to attend the Convocation on SthNovember, 2016 please remit a sum of Rs.SOO/- (Rs.l00/-already paid at the time of issue of P.D.C.) deposit through online fee, the students have to visit eitheron ICAR-IVRI Website www.ivri.nic.in OR SBI Website (www.onlinesbi.com/prelogin/icollecthome.htm?corpID=640979). No cash or demand draft on account o(fees will be accepted, so that thedegree certificate may be sent to you by post.

Instructions for candidates taking their degree in person in theIX-Convocation to be held on 5th November, 2016

As the Convocation is a solemn occasion which ought to be conducted with a fullestsense of discipline, dignity & decorum, every candidate receiving degree should maintainthe due solemnity throughout the ceremony. The following instructions may please benoted:-

1. Full dress rehearsal will be held on 4th November, 2016 in the Convocation Pandal besidethe Academic cum Administrative Block. It is obligatory for every candidate who wouldbe receiving the degree at the Convocation to be present in person at the rehearsal, failingwhich he/she will not be admitted to the Convocation function.

2. The prescribed dress codes for attending the convocation are as follows and all are requiredto pay due regard to formality and uniformity in their dress:

3. The Convocation will be held on 5th November, 2016. All the candidates, receiving thedegrees in the Convocation will occupy their seats at least one hour prior to the scheduledtime. Candidates coming late will not be permitted entry into the PandaL

5. As the procession enters the Pandal to the accompaniment of the Music band, all presentwill rise and remain standing until members of the Procession have taken their seats.

6. After the Faculty Head of the discipline concerned has read out the names of the candidatesof a discipline the candidates belonging to that discipline will remain standing, till theDirector admits them, to the degree.

7. After the Faculty Head has admitted the candidates to the respective degree, thecandidates then shall bow in acknowledgement and thereafter turning right walk to

the dais one by one from the left side of the dais to receive the degree from the ChiefGuest. The candidates will then climb down the dais from the other side and walk into thecorridor in the East side of the Pandal and stand in the corridor in the West side of thePandal till the last candidate in the particular row leaves to receive the degree.Thereafter, all the candidates belonging to that row will resume their seats.

8. After the Director declares the Convocation closed, all present in the Pandal will remainstanding till the National Anthem is sung and the Procession leaves the Pandal.

9. The fee for sending the degree certificate In-absentia is Rs.600/-.
