Requirements
Love of music and a strong desire to learn how to play a band instrument.
Ability to listen and follow directions. Persistence – a “never give up” attitude.
Band Basics
• We play all types of music, such as: movie and TV theme songs, pop songs, rock ‘n roll, classical, and we even learn how to do Rhythm Raps to help us play.
• We perform 2 concerts each year:
– The Winter Concert is in December.
– The Spring Concert is in May.
• We decide together what instrument you will play.
• You try out the instruments first.
• You learn to play your instrument in class.
• You bring your instrument home to practice.
