Here is what our employers say:

“I was so impressed not only with the technical skills and creativity of Sheridan’s Game Design students, but with their enthusiasm and passion for their work. They quickly grasped the needs of the end user, were efficient and intelligent in their design choices, and worked with great independence. The digital media created by Sheridan’s Game Design students has been integrated into an interactive media installation in the waiting space at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and is enjoyed by our clients and their families on a daily basis.”

- Dr. Elaine Biddiss, Scientist, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital

“I had the pleasure of working with a team of Sheridan College Bachelor of Game Design students on an educational game project. The commitment, professionalism and game design skills that the students possessed far exceeded my expectations. The team was impressive in their ability to create, design, and develop an innovative and visually compelling educational game with a rich storyline over the course of a 12-week term. This game will substantially enhance my students’ learning and engagement in the course material.”

- Dr. Jaime K. Ginter, PhD Professor, School of Social and Life Sciences

The Co-op component of the BA in Game Design provides third year students with the opportunity to stretch their skills and knowledge within the gaming industry. With 5 semesters of learning behind them, these co-op students are prepared to take on the challenge of a range of jobs such as play testing, modelling, animating and documenting among many others. Passionate and energetic, co-op students are imagining what the future of game design will look like. For small to medium size companies, our students will be an asset because they possess a breadth of skills that can be applied to a range of tasks. For large companies, targeted jobs will be approached with professionalism and depth of knowledge honed over three years of study.

Looking to prototype or test a game but needing staff or other resources? Sheridan’s Game Design program is open to applications for internal co-ops.
