I can just imagine what some of you are thinking regarding this year’s Program Calendar theme. Inevitably some will say,“Anything to fit YICC into a title.” Indeed, that might be the truth, but there is more to the story.

This year’s theme is all about communication and there is no one who communicates better than Netflix. Netflix hascaptured the imagination of millions because they have figured out how to creatively produce and sell programs thatare of interest to the masses. It is that image of creative communication that inspires us as we produce our 5782Program Calendar.

During these challenging times we present this program calendar devoted to creatively communicating the beauty ofJudaism and its inspiring message for the ages. As you peruse the pages of this brochure, you will find exciting, diverse and stimulating programs together with a list of outstanding speakers who will challenge your mind and engage your heart as they address contemporary issues from a Jewish perspective. Please join us for what promises to be an amazingyear of study and inspiration.

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, whose names can be found at the end of this booklet. All lectures are free of charge as a service to the community. Special thanks are due to the very involved members of the Program Committee, who helped shape this year’s extensive offerings. We also salute Jeff Coen of JDC Designfor his amazing talent in designing this Program Calendar.

I look forward to personally greeting you in our beautiful Shul, and I encourage your participation in everythingYoung Israel of Century City has to offer. Elazar R. MuskinSenior Rabbi
