The tender/bids shall be opened online at the office of the Assistant Conservator of Forests, Kollam Social Forestry Division in the presence of bidders / their representatives who wish to attend at the above address. If the tender opening date happens to be on a holiday or non working day due to any other valid reason, the tender opening process will be done on the next working day at same time and place.

All other existing conditions related to e-tendering of Kerala Forest Department, Kerala PWD and Store Purchase Department will be applicable in this tender also. The conditions stipulated in G.O(MS) No.26/17/F&WLD dated 20.05.17 will also be applicable in this tender.

Tender Conditions

1. All conditions in the G.O. (M.S) No. 26/17/F&WLD dtd. 20.05.2017 will be

applicable to this tender. 2. Protection of nursery is the responsibility of contractor during contract period. 3. Items as per the sanctioned estimate should be completed before contract period

4. EMD towards tender shall be remitted either as DD drawn at SBI, Kollam Civil

Station Branch or fixed deposit from a nationalised or scheduled bank duly pledged in the name of under signed and same shall be submitted along with the filled up tender forms.

5. SSI units are exempted from remitting EMD. Such units should produce necessary eligibility certificates obtained from the Manager, District Industries Centre concerned.

6. The successful tenderer should remit 10% amount of the PAC including the EMD as security deposit for the contract; and enter into an agreement with the Forest Department within 7 days from the date of intimation regarding the acceptance of the tender.

7. After completing the work satisfactorily, the security deposit shall be released to the tenderer on production of necessary tax clearance certificate.

8. The tenderer is liable to follow Kerala Store Purchase Rules. 9. All conditions stipulated as per PWD, Kerala Forest Code and Kerala Store

Purchase Manual are applicable for this tender also. 10. All the taxes prevailing as per government rules for the time being is applicable in

this tender also. 11. The undersigned reserves the right to cancel the tender without assigning any

reason thereto. 12. For mother bed formation the contractor shall select appropriate site; having

fertile soil, availability of water and labour force preferably in that block and if not in the adjacent block boundary and got approved by Range Forest Officer.

13. The contractor shall prepare mother beds in standard size and shape under the supervision of forest staff in charge of the nursery.

14. Seeds of good germination percentage and quality must be sown on beds after pre-treatment (if required) under the strict supervision of forest staff. The quality and quantity of seeds should be got certified by Section Forest Officer, Range Forest Officer and recorded in journal.

15. Watering, weeding, manuring and other maintenance works should be done as specified in estimate under the supervision of staff and got recorded in journal with photographs.

16.The seed.lings should obtain sufficient growth and health [efore transplanting intopoiybags.

fZ.-seeafings which have attained prescribed height should be transplanted topolythene coverf Latex coated cloth bag of size 12x18cm ; bags filled with top soil,

low dung, sand and coir pith in ratio 6:2:1:1. These seedlings should be

maintained properly to attain minimum, 30cm height and kept ready fordistribution from 30th May onwards.

18.It is the responsibility of the successful tenderer to select the ideal site withappropriate iacilities for irrigation and other maintenance facilities to thebasketted 6eedlings in consultation with forest officials.

19.The tenderer is liable for the protection of nursery till the completion of theseedling distribution.

20.Before submitting tender, tenderer should inspect the area of concerned nursery,both mother bed and basketted bed and quote rate in the tender form' Anydeviation in the rate first quoted shall not be allowed upon any reason'

21.After completing the *orli satisfactorily, the security deposit shall be released to

the tenderer on production of necessary tax clearance certificate.22. T]ne tenderer is liable to follow Kerala Store Purchase Rules.23.The quantity and amount mentioned in the tender are approximate. The

contractor is bound to undertake the work even if the quantity and amountchanges according to decisions taken in Government/Department levels.
