• Why do you go to worship services?

– To grow in one’s personal faith. Acts 2:42

– Be careful not to show complaints, burdens, etc.

and taint their vision of God’s people.

• Why is “Church of Christ” on the building?

– Jesus built His church. Mt. 16:18; Acts 2:47

– “church of Christ” is its scriptural name.

Romans 16:16; we belong to Christ Acts 20:28

• The word “church” means, “the called out ones”.

– The building is just where the church meets.

• Not a denominational name or affiliation.

• It is a place where spiritual work is done.



• Why do we have bible classes and

worship services? 2 Timothy 2:2

– We grow in faith by hearing/learning God’s

– Bible classes are a teaching arrangement

used to help us grow.

– Worship assemblies provide the time to do

some other things that the Lord wants us to

do together. Hebrews 10:24-25



• Why do we offer prayers?

– God commands it. 1 Thes. 5:17-18

– It follows the example of early Christians.

– Because God hears and answers His

people’s prayers. 1 John 5:14-15

– We need the peace and help that we can

receive by prayer. Phil. 4:6-7



• What is the point of singing spiritual

songs?

– To praise God. Hebrews 13:15; James 5:13

– To teach and admonish each other.

• It’s a way to let Christ’s word to dwell in us richly.



• What is the Lord’s Supper about?

– It is a sharing with Christ by partaking

emblems of His body and blood.

– It is remembering what Christ has done for us

and a proclaiming of his future return.

– It’s an expression of our unity in Christ.

• Why do you give money every week?

– It is your opportunity to be saved.

– Why are we different than other churches?

– Why don’t we use instrumental music?

• About dating and marriage?

• What is wrong with living with someone

before marriage?

– It is fornication. 1 Corinthians 7:2; Heb. 13:4

• Why can’t I divorce and remarry for any

– Because doing so would make you an adulterer.

• Why don’t we dance?

– It generates lustful thoughts and lewd conduct.

– God prohibits it in all forms and degrees.

• Let us learn how to answer them and what

answers will give them the most strength

to secure them and the next generations

of those who will have their faith in Christ

for salvation!
