O pen 365 days a year, the Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center in Skillman continues to be the place to nd prompt and convenient care for children and adults. If your doctor cannot see you and you need to see a doctor sooner than later, you can walk in; appointments are not necessary. Whether you feel sick and need to get back to work or your child was sent home from school or needs that last-minute sports physical, you can see a physician with little to no wait time. The facility, located at 1378 Route 206, is tucked away from street view in The Village Shoppes at Montgomery, across the street from ShopRite. It is staffed by a licensed practical nurse and a primary care physician board certied in emergency medicine. A lab technician, X-r ay technician, and clinical assistant round out the Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center team. When should I go to an urgent care center? Our healthcare professionals treat every- thing but life-threatening emergencies. Patients with serious medical conditions such as chest pain or major trauma should call 911 immediately . Conditions treated at the Urgent Care Center include: • lacerations minor sports and orthopedic injuries • sore throats • colds • coughs • fever • asthma • back pain • skin rashes • urinary tract infections sprains and strains • eye redness and irritation Individuals can also get their annual u and pneumonia vaccines at the Urgent Care Center. What if I need blood work, an X-ray or some other kind of diagnostic tests? Although it is not the norm, the Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center is staffed with technicians who perform X-rays on site. Rapid strep and u tests and nger-stick blood glucose testing are also available on site. Results are available before patients go home. Can the doctors perform a physical? The Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center is a resource for families who need sports physicals for children who play scholastic, recreational or collegiate sports; annual school physicals; camp physicals; and employment or pre-employment physicals.
