When Should You Go to theSaint Peter’s Urgent Care Center?

pen 365 days a year, the SaintPeter’s Urgent Care Center in

Skillman continues to be the placeto find prompt and convenient care forchildren and adults. If your doctor cannotsee you and you need to see a doctorsooner than later, you can walk in;appointments are not necessary. Whetheryou feel sick and need to get back towork or your child was sent home fromschool or needs that last-minute sportsphysical, you can see a physician withlittle to no wait time.

The facility, located at 1378 Route 206,is tucked away from street view in The

Village Shoppes at Montgomery, acrossthe street from ShopRite. It is staffedby a licensed practical nurse and aprimary care physician board certified inemergency medicine. A lab technician,X-ray technician, and clinical assistantround out the Saint Peter’s Urgent CareCenter team.

When should I go to an urgent carecenter? 

Our healthcare professionals treat every-thing but life-threatening emergencies.Patients with serious medical conditions

such as chest pain or major traumashould call 911 immediately.

Conditions treated at the Urgent CareCenter include:

• lacerations

• minor sports and orthopedic injuries

• sore throats

• colds

• coughs

• fever

• asthma

• back pain• skin rashes

• urinary tract infections

• sprains and strains

• eye redness and irritation

Individuals can also get their annual flu andpneumonia vaccines at the Urgent CareCenter.

 

What if I need blood work, an X-rayor some other kind of diagnostic

tests?

Although it is not the norm, the SaintPeter’s Urgent Care Center is staffedwith technicians who perform X-rayson site. Rapid strep and flu tests andfinger-stick blood glucose testingare also available on site. Results areavailable before patients go home.

Can the doctors perform aphysical? 

The Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Centeris a resource for families who need

sports physicals for children who playscholastic, recreational or collegiatesports; annual school physicals;camp physicals; and employment orpre-employment physicals.

What insurances are accepted?

Most insurances, including Medicare,are accepted.

For convenient and prompt medicalcare, Saint Peter’s Urgent CareCenter is a reliable option for many.
