WHAT IS THE PURPOSE

OF THE PROGRAM?

PURPOSES OF SOL-SUP

Improve leadership skills which are necessary for university life

Acquire creativity necessary for various majors through many kinds

of cooperation activities.

Enhance learning capabilities

Help to adopt the information related to scholarships, students,

student welfare, etc.

Promote global understanding by doing activities with foreign

professors in English and improving students’ global sense.

TIME 32 hour (4 hours x 8 days)

Pass or Fail course; two credits (During Summer 2016 semester)

DUTY AND ROLE

• Regular attendance : Regular attendance is the most basic rule

on the campus life. Sol-SUP program is a course to get a credit. It is

different from the previous freshman orientation that was directed mainly

with events. So students must regularly attend this program.

• Active participation : Sol-SUP program is not a one-day class; it

is ongoing dynamic interplay between professors and students.

• Effective performance on assignments : If the

assignment is assigned, students must faithfully perform for smooth class

progress.

ASSESSMENT METHOD

• Attendance : If students are absent from 1/3 of the class (except for serious

reasons) students will get fail by school regulation.

• Class participation and outcome : Each professor is evaluating

participation in the class. If the participation is poor, students may fail.
