Try to do at least 50 hours so that you

do not come up short.

Think of two colleges and/or employers

that you want to receive the letters and

include those names and addresses on

the certificate form.

Send a digital copy of your form to

[email protected].

IT USUALLY TAKES 4 TO 6 WEEKS AFTER THE

SEMESTER ENDS BEFORE YOUR CERTIFICATE

AND LETTERS ARE SENT.

SINCE 2008 THE STLCC-MERAMEC CAMPUS HAS GIVEN OVER 97,000 HOURS VALUED AT OVER $2,021,000!

At the end of the semester

add up your hours….

Complete a Semester of Service

Certificate Order Form.

Answer a few short reflection questions.

By Friday of finals week, bring your

completed passport to the office of

Service Learning & Civic Engagement,

Semester of Service (SOS) is a program

designed by Missouri Campus Compact, to

further the civic mission and public purpose

of higher education. Students can earn

benefits by doing volunteer service in the

community or through a service learning

class with a community partner.

Students who volunteer 45 hours or more of

service in a single semester are eligible to

have two letters of recognition sent to a four

-year college or employer. Students receive

a certificate of service and a thank you letter

from the campus provost and a copy of the

letter for their files.
