When is battery fully charged?

Phone is fully charged when green bar is full

Signal strength is at 4 bars here which is good – 1 or 2 is quite weak!

Turn phone on/off – keep RED button pressed for few seconds

To make phone call:Enter phone numberPress GREEN button once

Receiving a call & “hanging up”

To answer a phone call – just press the GREEN button once

To end a phone call, press the RED button

Exercise

•Work with the person sitting next to you•Write down each other’s phone numbers (numbers are on back of phones)

Taking turns do the following:•Hold the red button for a few seconds to turn on the phone•Enter the phone number• Press green button to make the phone call

ICE – In Case of Emergency

• The idea is that you store the word " I C E " in your mobile phone address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency“

• In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them

• It's so simple that everyone can do it. For more than one contact name ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc.

Save a number onto the phone

Enter the phone numberPress the Save button

Note that it says Save on the screen!

Type in the SurnameUse the directional keys to move down to enter First NameNote that it says Next on the screen!

The centre button relates to what is written above it at the time on the screen

Pressing this here takes you to the Next section

…while pressing it here selects the Save option

The number is now saved!

If you want to call this number press the centre button to call

If you want to exit from this screen and return to the “home” screen press the red button

Check your Credit Balance

• Press the down arrow key to access the Contacts list or “phonebook”

• Press the down arrow until ‘Credit Balance’ is highlighted

• Press the Green button to call this number

• This number is NOT like dialling an ordinary phone number!!!

• Instead of ringing out, a text message will be displayed on the screen

• You may need to ‘scroll’ down past the advertising to read how much call credit you have left

What happens if you miss a call?

• Press the Menu button – large middle button

• Press Up arrow once• To select Log, press Right

arrow once• Press Select – large middle

button• On Missed Calls, press Select

again• Here you can view a list of your

missed calls with the date and time of the call

• To return a call, simply select the number you want to call and press the Green button

How to check your voicemail

• Dial 171• Listen to the options

available and press the appropriate number

• When you want to end the call press the red button
