What Dirty Little Secret Does Your iPhone Keep For Law Enforcement, better yet, how do I turn this featureoff!

In this world of Big Brother, you pretty much have to learn to live with it - or completely unplug yourself. With these socalled traffic cams recording every license plate that passes through an intersection, security cams broadcastingworld wide, pings from phone to cell towers, telling them exactly where you are, Facebook ads..... mysterioulsy usingads on sites you have looked at on the internet recently -Amazon ads, eBay.... the list goes on and on and you cantget away from it.

Good news is, they are watching 3 billion people at once, so unless you are some super criminal or have donesomething horrible, the chances you would make it to their "keep it" list are probably worse that your chance of thelottery or a lightning strike. (or Better)

But what is scary to me, is what my iPhone has stored in its little memory chips.

It stores information, buried under about 5 layers of secrecy...... it stores the exact locations of places you frequent,under the pretense " Allow you iPhone to learn places you frequently visit in order to provide useful location -relatedinformation"

If that one doesn't creep you out, then brother, you are a lot tougher than me :)

What in the Hell would they need that information for?

Here is where you go to turn it off - wait until you see the list your phone has stored on it!

Start off in "Settings"

Then go to "Privacy" (LOL)

Then go to "Location Services"

Proceed to "System Services"

Proceed to "Frequent Locations"

How Scary is this - it tells us how long she was at each location!

NEWS FLASH: This just in from the Apple Break room:

Apple guy 1: Hey look at this... Johny Doe's "frequent locations" , he is atthe topless bar everyday for lunch. Apple guy 2: HaHa -I one up you - SusieDoe (johnys wife) is at her bosses home addess everday for lunch - lol Apple guy 1: Oh yeah, well look at where Johny Jr is during his lunch hour,isnt that the Pot dispensery? AppleGuy 2: OK, look at this - Johny's Mom is...... Apple guy 3: hey look who just signed up for a new family plan over atAT&T,

Sorry, I cant stop laughing.

The only benefit I could see in this would be...

Law Enforcement, If a bank was robbed, and you have "frequented" the place 5 times this week, and you donthave an account with that bank? Or if you were to get into an accident, they could check to see if you just pulled outof the bar, and your iPhone tells them you have been at the bar for the last 3 hours....... (because that is what thisfeature will tell them). Forget about looking at your tweets or your FB page - they have this secret tool now.

Trust me, I don't condone bank robbery's or drinking and driving - its justcreepy to me that Apple needs this stored on your phone and sent to them -for any reason!
