Changes to navigationpanel

Mobile users The navigation panel has changed formobile users. Navigation option nameshave changed and icons are removed.Settings, help, and information are nowaccessed at the bottom of the panel. Somenavigation changes include:• Account use: To switch between

accounts, tap the account name at thebottom of the panel.

• Direct messages: To send a directmessage to someone, tap thatperson’s avatar and choose DirectMessage from the user’s profile page.

• Downloading files: To download a fileon your iOS device, view the file and

tap . Choose Save for Offline.The file is stored in your Offline area,accessed via the menu in the headerof your home page.

New subscription model All users This is the first release of Oracle Contentand Experience to use Oracle’s UniversalCredit Model (UCM). In March 2018, OracleContent and Experience moved to theuniversal credits model. If you purchasedyour subscription after March 2018, youhave a universal credits subscription, andyou have a cloud account with OracleIdentity Cloud Service (IDCS). If youpurchased your subscription prior to March2018, you have a metered or non-meteredsubscription, and you have a traditionalcloud account.There is minimal change for users interms of the interface or functionality. Sites: Content templates Sites users andadmins

Content templates can now be used toshare content models, which includescontent layouts, content items, and digitalassets that are needed to support a contentmodel (such as sample content).Using a content template allows enterpriseusers to start creating editorial contentusing content types and layouts from thetemplate. They can publish this content tosites or to other available channels.

You create a content template from anexisting site. It can then be shared withother users. Content templates should becreated from sites with published contentitems and digital assets.

Note that content types are not createdwhen a site template is imported from apackage with content. They are createdwhen a site is created from the contenttemplate. Therefore, content types are notowned by the user who imports the sitetemplate. Instead, content types are ownedby the user who creates a first site fromthat template. That user can then share thetemplate with other users as needed.

Sites users Site activation can be a time-consumingprocess but a new feature delivers site filesdirectly from a dynamic site folder.

Developers You can now develop templates andthemes for Content and Experience Cloudin Developer Cloud Service.• Starting at Developer Cloud Service,

you can create a template, edit thetheme, and then export the templateto be imported into Content andExperience Cloud.

• Starting at Content and ExperienceCloud, you can create a template,export the template, and then importthe template into Developer CloudService to edit the theme.

A cross-platform command-line utility, cec,provides integrated help for running thecommands, with examples. The local testharness supports running and testingof all types of Content and ExperienceCloud components and templates, includingcontent templates.
