WHAT’S HAPPENING TODAY Kindergarten-3rd Grade Family Bowling Today, March 19 from 2-4 pm at Trindle Bowl. Cost: $7 pp includes 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental. Parents may drop off their child(ren) and leave or they and siblings are invited to stay and bowl. For safety reasons, any siblings under Kindergarten age require a parent to stay. We will not be supervising children in the arcade area. 4th and 5th Grade Laser Tag Today, March 19 from 2:30-4:30 pm at Sports Emporium, Carlisle. Cost: $20pp includes laser tag, pizza and drinks. Adventure Club is bowling today at this time at Trindle Bowl. If you have children in both programs and would benefit from leaders transporting your child in the church van to laser tag, please let Jodie know.
WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK
Men's Breakfast - with Ron Hostetler—RSVP by TOMORROW! Saturday, April 1 from 7:30 am to 10:30 am in the FLC. Ron Hostetler will speak on: ”Would I Play for Me? The Measure of a Man.” Ron was a preseason All-American linebacker and captain at Penn State and a draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams. He is the older brother of Super Bowl Champion quarterback, Jeff Hostetler. He and his wife Holly are the parents of four grown children and live in Hershey, PA. Dogs for God This ministry consists of a group of caring individuals called to spread the joy, happiness and the name of Christ using the assistance of their bonded relationships with their dogs to reach the elderly, homebound, hospitalized, etc. Please mark your calendars for the following dates: Tuesday 3/21 - 6:30 pm - The Jewish Home Monday 3/27 - 6:30 pm - Sarah Todd Home For more information contact Pam Caserta at [email protected]. Bethesda Mobile Mission - March 24, 2017 As part of the Bethesda Mission, the Mobile Mission is an outreach program that goes into the heart of Harrisburg from 9:00 pm – 12:00 am to meet the needs of the homeless by bringing food, clothing and necessities and share the love of Christ. The next Mobile Mission is Friday, February 24. Please meet at the church parking lot at 8:15 pm to carpool. March 25th Ladies Spring Brunch Ladies, you are invited to join us for a delicious morning brunch and fellowship. We are delighted to have as our presenter Pastor Rachel Keller Wong. Pastor Wong served 1 1/2 years in Africa as a mission intern in 2009. Come and hear her story as she shares a bit of her experiences serving in Johannesburg South Africa, “learning the stories of others, many who came from difficult circumstances but wanted to be the change in their communities.” Invite your sister, neighbor, mother or daughter and join us.

Divorced: You don’t have to go through it alone! Come and join a DivorceCare group. Meet people who understand the pain your divorce has caused. DivorceCare meets every Thursday evening at 6:30pm. You are invited to join us any week and become part of a small group of people who are also experiencing divorce. You’ll meet others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement. DivorceCare meets weekly for 13 weeks, featuring 13 dynamic video seminars with renowned experts on divorce and recovery.
DivorceCare is nondenominational and features biblical teaching for recovering from divorce. Weekly seminar topics include: What’s Happening to Me, The Road to Healing/Finding Help, Facing My Anger, Depression, Loneliness, New Relationships, KidCare, Financial Survival and more…

“Lost & Found”: AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) & Al-Anon (Family/Friends of Alcoholics) EVERY SATURDAY 6 pm to 7:15 pm in the Youth Room. The Lost & Found Group combines AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) & Al-Anon (Family & Friends of Alcoholics). A speaker from each (AA and Al-Anon) will share their story followed by discussion. “Program Birthdays” are celebrated each month.
At Al-Anon group meetings the friends and family members of problem drinkers share their experiences and learn how to apply the principles of the Al-Anon program to their individual situations. They learn that they are not alone in the problems they face, and that they have choices that lead to greater peace of mind, whether the drinker continues to drink or not. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. There are no age or education requirements. LOOKING AHEAD Candy Donations Wanted Please consider donating a bag of candy for our Annual Egg Hunt that will be held on Sunday, April 9th following the Easter Brunch. There is a bin marked "Easter Candy Donations" in the hall around the corner from the elevator. Thanks! The Bridge of Hope Harrisburg Area Spring GALA! Please join us on April 8, 2017 at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 148 Sheraton Drive, New Cumberland, PA 17070 at 5:00 pm for a buffet dinner, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment by a local Jazz Trio. We will be "unveiling" our new "neighboring" language that supports our long-standing mission to end and prevent homelessness among single mothers and their children in our neighborhood. The highlight of our program will be testimony to the life-changing work Bridge of Hope Harrisburg Area is doing in the lives of the homeless single mothers we serve. GHH is gearing up for our first work weekend of 2017. Join us! We hope to both complete some started projects as well as kick off some new ones. In 2017 most of our work weeks will be extended to include Thursday. We will kick off the weekend on Thursday April 20 and have work planned on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 21 - 23. Please consider taking some of your time on that week to serve some of His children who need your help! Why not grab some family or friends to join you?! United Methodist Night at the Senators - April 23 The Camp and Retreat Ministry of the Susquehanna Conference and the Harrisburg Senators invite you to an afternoon of fun and fellowship at FNB Field. Tickets are $10 - $3 from each ticket will be donated back to the Campership Fund to help provide children youth, and adults with the church camp experience. The first 2000 kids 12 and under will receive a Hershey Park pass valid through June 2017! Stick around after the game for ‘Kids Run the Bases!’ Pick up forms at the Information Desk in the lobby. Turn in forms and checks made out to ‘Harrisburg Senators’ to the church office by April 12. New Hope Ministries Annual Geranium Sale - Orders Due 4/5 The opportunity is here for you to enjoy some beautiful flowers while helping to raise money for New Hope Ministries, a Christian social service agency. New Hope Ministries is now conducting its annual Geranium Sale. These flowers are gorgeous every year and last all summer! Please contact Nancy Wible at [email protected] with any questions. Order forms can be found on the Information Desk in the lobby outside the sanctuary. All orders and payments must be received in the church office by Wednesday, April 5. WALK FOR HOPE 2017 This is an annual and important fund raiser for New Hope Ministries and will be held on Sunday, APRIL 30.
