First flashback:

She took the razor and slashed four ribbons on her wrist cutting to the bone. She hissed in painbut ignored it as she took the werewolf blood and mixed it together with the plain wolf blood.

She took it and put it in a vial and walked down to her lab rats.

The lab rats were filthy. They smelled nasty; a mix between garbage and having been without ashower for months. The humans were skinny with bones poked out showing evidence of lack of

food and nutrition. Going to the cage, the vampire took one of the russet skinned boys and tookthe needle out of her pocket. She stabbed the vial in the boys arm then drained the full vial into

the body. She waited a couple of minutes then the boy began writhing in agony as bones startedpopping and his muscles contorted. She looked at his hands where knots formed, thick and

aching, along the backs of his hands. His body bent forward and he went to the floor. He foundhimself on all fours, head down, and jaw painful. His muscles contracted and locked, and once

again his body contorted. His face was growing out; his jaw elongating, teeth bursting throughhis gums. The teeth were huge like an alligators. Roped muscles rippled beneath the pelt while

his skull widened and thickened. His bones arched and cracked in his spine and then becamesupple. He transformed into a wolf right in front of her eyes. She grabbed his scruff since he was

still on the floor panting; he had no fight in him. She dragged him to the cage and chained him tothe wall with a long, thick silver chain. The wolf whimpered as the silver dug in his fur coat but

the vampire ignored it. She took a sample of his blood and gave him an injection that wouldknock him out for a day as she would then watch would happen.

Preface:

Wings unfurled from Bella's back; feathers bristled alive and excited to fly. As she movedEdward stood back watching Bella as she went to the window of the apartment. 20 feet from the

ground she crouched out the window. Her small slim fingers held onto the window edge forsupport. Looking at Edward she smiled and beckoned him over. He slowly moved to the

window at human pace.

'Wanna go hunt in with me?'' she asked him while frowning at the dark circles under his eyes.

They were black from lack of hunting. Edward nodded then released his own black wings. Theyfluttered in acceptation of flying. Bella turned towards him, facing her back towards the

window and fell. About half way through her free fall she flapped her wings causing her to gohigher in the sky flying back to the window. She flapped her wings and waited for Edward to

come out. He did the same as she had done and joined Bella in the air as they took off to thenight.

Chapter One

"The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly;

and the best way to keep love is to give it wings"

She was home, or what used to be home, it was utterly hell. Edward promised to call her but thathadn't happened in a while. When she had returned to forks she discovered that theCullen werevampires that they drank blood of animals and fell in love with Edward. Right after prom her

mother told her she had to come home on her 18th birthday. She had been feeling weird whenshe suddenly sprouted wings and started screaming bloody murder. Her mother then told her

about how she wasn't human, but an immortal. Not vampire, but the first original type ofimmortals. She had wings and had to drink blood. Coffins were up to her but she couldn't go in

the sun unless she was around vampires or werewolves at all time.

One night Edward showed up at her house at 2:30 in the morning. She was sleeping in her

coffin. It made her feel like someone was there comforting her with the padding surrounding her

giving the feeling that someone was holding her. Edward walked in her room where Bellas scentwas the strongest. He saw that the walls were black and her windows were boarded up withcurtains nailed to them. Edwards brows furrowed in confusion, what was with the Goth look?

Then he saw the coffin and curiosity was the first thing that filled his body. With lighting speedhe ran to the coffin. Lifting the lid he peered inside and gasped in shock and remorse. Bella was

there in the coffin sleeping. Her eyes moved while she dreamed but abruptly stopped when shecaught the smell of an intruder. Hissing a long hiss like a snake ready to strike, she waited for the

person to unlock the lid, once opened she attacked. Her fangs came out as she growled loudlylooking at the intruder and insistently regretted it. Under her was Edward looking shocked, sad,

and happy. They stared at one another for a long moment before she was across the room forcaution reason. She was crouched with her fangs bared as she hissed.

'Get out.'' she gritted out in between her clenched teeth in a demanding voice. Edward being

stubborn shook his head.

'No. I missed you.'' he replied. She shook her head. After all this time she hated to admit thatshe missed him too. Closing the distance between them she was right in his face and she did

something she wasn't supposed to do.

She kissed him.

It started out as a slow but sweet kiss but it started to have more passion. Edward gripped her

waist and pulled Bella closer into him. Her hands were wrapped around his neck as his handstangled in her long brown hair as he gripped her as if he never wanted to let her go. He pulled her

onto his lap causing her to end up straddling him. The funny thing was she didn't rememberfalling. Leaning into his warm chest, Bella was startled to find he wasn't cold anymore.

"Do you regret it?'' he asked in a hush tone kissing her neck softly, biting the flesh enough toleave a mark.

Regret what exactly? There are a lot of things I regret.'' Bella replied, but she knew what hewanted to know; did she regret kissing him? Leaning towards his face she kissed him again but

going to the extreme god help them both. She could feel just how turned on he was and it madeher even more aroused than she already was. He ran his hand down her leg and pulled it up over

his waist. She had never felt anything like this before. They didn't have to breathe so they never

had to break the kiss. She tasted his venom when her fangs brushed his lips, her teeth were strongenough to pierce his skin and his venom tasted as good as any blood. She sucked hard on his lipmaking him moan loud in pleasure. It sent him into frenzy as he nipped at her lip breaking the

skin where he tasted her sweet blood. Her blood that tasted even better now then when she washuman. He couldn't help but drink it the way she was drinking his. They continued drinking for

a good five minutes before they finally broke apart. Panting heavily they leaned their foreheadsagainst each other. Her fangs were fully exposed with blood dripped from them. Edward licked it

off with his tongue.

'No I don't regret the kiss. Loving you is the best thing that ever happened to me.'' She said asshe kissed his head and scooting further down to rest her head on his chest. Her wings rested by

her side content at the moment of peace. Hours later as Bella sensed dawn was rising Bella shestarted getting restless.

"What's wrong?'' Edward asked seeing Bella squirm in his. His arms tighten around her.

"Dawn is coming. I can feel it.'' She said as she got up pulling Edward with her and went to hercoffin. It would fit two people if she wanted. She looked at Edward in questioning in her eyes.

"Do you want to go in here with me?'' she asked in a small voice. He nodded yes. She got in first

and got settled before she felt Edward slip in with her. Her wings shifted uncomfortably as theytried to find a comfortable position. After a couple of seconds they wrapped around her body

like in coat of protection, they hummed in her mind like a purring continent cat in contention.Edward stroked her feathers as they hummed in acceptation. Bella snuggled in his chest inhaling

his musky forest smell before darkness took her of the day.
