What kind of media institution might distribute your media 

product and why?

The kind of institution that I would like my magazine to be sold in would be supermarkets like Tesco, Asda etc, this is because when people are on their weekly shop they usually buy magazines and newspapers, so this would be ideal for my products marketing. Also places like HMV would sell my magazine, I think it would be successful in this shop because there aren't many music shops around and this shop is quite popular. I would like my magazine also to be sold in some fashion shops too for example Topshop and Miss Selfridge, this is because these are well known fashion institutions and I would think that a copy of loud by the till would fit really well as the sort of people who shop in Topshop and Miss Selfridge are the people I am aiming my magazine at.

I would continue selling my magazine at the price of £2.99 and offer a direct debit monthly subscription to the magazine, if people signed up to this they would receive 2 out of the 12 months free of charge which would be saving them £5.98 over the year. I would also have an online magazine (webzine) of LOUD which would feature additional exclusive LOUD music, reviews, pictures and more. In addition to this I would create a twitter and Facebook page for LOUD so its readers could tweet and write posts to each other about the magazine.
