WHAT IS A PREGNANCY CENTER? The Pregnancy Center is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry governed by a local board of directors committed to providing a positive response to the problems of abortion and sex outside of marriage. A Pregnancy Center provides: A compassionate and confidential setting in which peer counselors offer pregnancy tests, accurate information on prenatal development, abortion procedures and risks, and counseling about pregnancy options. The HOPE program – education for women in birth preparation, child care, parenting, and spiritual growth. Opportunities are given to earn vouchers that are redeemable for maternity and baby clothing, baby equipment, and necessities. Ministry to those suffering emotionally or spiritually from a previous abortion or miscarriage through counseling and H.E.A.R.T. (Healing Encouragement for Abortion-related Trauma). Worth Waiting 4 ! – a program designed to promote abstinence until marriage, to provide accurate information about sexually transmitted diseases and contraception failure rates, and to enable teens in a practical way to adopt an abstinent lifestyle. WHAT SERVICES CAN WE OFFER? Services to meet the needs of clients and the community may include: Pregnancy tests Crisis intervention and ongoing supportive counseling Information about pregnancy and fetal development Information about abortion (alternatives, risks, procedures) Maternity/baby clothes and other baby needs through the HOPE program Referrals for medical care, adoption, legal aid, financial assistance, education, and housing Parenting classes Post abortion counseling and H.E.A.R.T. support group Worth Waiting 4 ! abstinence teams speaking in schools, churches, and community groups All services free and confidential HOW CAN YOU HELP? Prayer intercessors – Receive prayer updates as you commit to weekly prayer for the ministry. Peer counselor – Commit to a time weekly to minister to clients in one-on- one counseling sessions. Training would be provided. Church liaison – Help coordinate your church’s involvement in annual events and informing members of needs and service opportunities. Baby Boutique volunteer – Organize maternity and baby items, mending and cleaning as needed and help clients. Special project volunteer – Assist with annual fundraisers and other specific projects as needed. Receptionist – Commit to a specific time each week to answer phones, greet and assist clients, and handle routine office work. Childcare volunteer – Babysitting for volunteer training or client support groups. Giving All services will be free and supported by area churches, businesses, and individuals.

is to bring compassionate help and hope to

those faced with an unplanned pregnancy;

to promote sexual abstinence as a positive

lifestyle for singles; to provide opportunity

for healing and restoration to those who

have been hurt by abortion; to serve as an

educating resource for the community; and

to present Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
