WHAT IS THE CELESTIAL HARBOR EXPERIENCE?

First, it will provide visitors the opportunity to experience life apart from the Earth on a working low orbit space station,

At its essence, Celestial Harbor is a first step towards creating a permanent community in Earth’s orbit.

To that end, Celestial Harbor will begin by fulfilling two primary functions.

Celestial Harbor will be a place to visit, celebrate, play,


contemplate, and dream.

Ultimately, Celestial Harbor will develop into a long-term sustainable community. This will serve as a model for future exploration and colonization of the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Secondly, dedicated laboratory space on the Celestial Harbor station will be available for microgravity research. Public and private organizations will make use of this unique environment to push the boundaries of technology, biology and medicine.

The central idea behind the Celestial Harbor Experience can be understood by considering the meaning behind the name. “Celestial” speaks to the unimaginably large, untouched and up until now, unreachable vastness of outer space.

At the heart of the Celestial Harbor Experience, you will find a garden. A living, breathing environment that transcends the science and technology that made it possible, in order to embrace life itself, creating a viable transplant of the best of life that Earth has to offer.

“Harbor” speaks to a place of safety from the dangers that surround you when you are in the midst of a hostile environment. Three iconic metaphors are a citadel, a harbor, and an oasis.


The Celestial Harbor Experience is not a simulation or a theme park ride. It’s the real thing. There’s nothing on Earth you can do that equates to watching the world pass you by at approximately fourteen thousand miles per hour. You can’t watch the sun rise and set every 90 minutes anywhere else but from orbit.

In order to understand or appreciate it, you just have to go there.

Only in a space station like Celestial Harbor can you experience weightlessness, as well as the gravity conditions of the Earth, the Moon, and Mars, all in one place.
