What is CV Protection?The Complete Value Protection (CV Protection) is a residential service that introduces an enterprise carrier grade Wi-Fi router, called a Chariton Valley GigaCenter. This router is more robust which means it has a stronger signal allowing for a faster speed (throughput) and a wider coverage area (range.) It is important that we “own the home” to provide you with a great internet experience and the GigaCenter enables us to deliver that experience.CV Protection ensures your wireless home network (Wi-Fi), the inside wiring and jacks in your home that run your Phone, Internet and Video service will stay in proper working condition. In addition, CV Protection gives the peace of mind if any of the Phone or Internet equipment, supplied by Chariton Valley, stops working as expected, we will troubleshoot and repair or replace the equipment.

CV Protection does not cover installation of new jacks, repair of customer owned equipment or equipment supplied from other providers (e.g. Roku, Google Chromecast, etc), gaming systems, issues caused by misuse, negligence or vandalism, priority escalation and hourly fees for after-hours service calls or lost or stolen equipment.

* Includes up to (1) hour of installation labor with additional time billed at $75/hour. Includes connection of up to (6) devices at the time of initial installation, excluding gaming systems such as Xbox, PlayStation, etc.

Why would I want CV Protection?CV Protection covers you if your Chariton Valley Phone, Video or Internet service stops working. You can rest as-sured the Chariton Valley Technical support team will walk you through the troubleshooting process. If it is deter-mined your GigaCenter router needs to be repaired or replaced, you have the option to bring the equipment to one of our convenient customer service locations for exchange, or we can arrange for a professional technician to cometoyourhomeduringnormalbusinesshours(Monday-Friday,8am-5pm)toresolveyourserviceissue.

Wire and jacks have a long life and do not normally go bad just because of age. However, many things, including everyday wear and tear, can damage the wires or jacks inside your home. For example, damage can occur from activities such as home repair, someone accidentally cuts wire, an animal scratches through the wire, something knocks the jack loose, or other unforeseen events.

It is not possible to predict when or how frequently these types of damage will occur. Since your Chariton Valley servicedoesnotcoverthesetypesofrepairs,itisyourresponsibilitytogetyourwiringorjacksfixedifsomethingdoes go wrong. With CV Protection, you do not pay for unexpected or expensive repairs to the jacks or inside wiring covered by the plan.

What CV Protection covers?If you experience service problems at your home such as static on the line, or failure of your Chariton Valley GigaCenter router, CV Protection will cover the charge for a professional technician to come to your home during normal business hours. The technician will trouble-shoot to repair any issues caused by wiring, jacks or equipment supplied by Chariton Valley.

However, if a problem is a customer caused issue, such as damage to the equipment, jacks or wiring caused by misuse,negligenceorvandalismarepair/replacementfeemaybeassessed.

CV Protection does not cover• Installation of new jacks• Repair of telephones• Business Telephone Systems, such as HPBX• Business Networking• Televisions and equipment from other providers (e.g. Roku, Google Chromecast, etc.)• Gaming systems such as Xbox, PlayStation, etc.• Computers and peripheral devices• Customer owned wireless routers • Issue caused by misuse, negligence or vandalism • Priority escalation and hourly fees for after-hours service calls.• Lost or stolen equipment
