Midtown PlayplaceChildren enjoy an indoor playground while they become socially

interactive and physically active with other children. Parents

remain with child.

Adult Basketball This time is reserved for open basketball pick-up games for adults.

First 20 players will be accepted and will play 5 on 5 full- court.

Youth Basketball This is an opportunity for youth to play basketball. The playing

options are: 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4 or 5-on-5 depending on the

T-BallThis is a fun way for boys and girls to learn basic baseball rules and

Personal TrainingOur Personal Trainers are ACE certified to assist with your fitness

Summer Enrichment Camp

Youth ages 7-12 will enjoy a safe, fun filled summer

with a variety of events and activities, while

continuing to build on reading and computer skills.

Youth will enjoy swimming, creative arts, sports

fundamentals in basketball, organized games, fieldtrips of the

mounted patrol, swimming, ice skating, and lots of fun activities.

Cost of fieldtrips not included. Lunch and snack is provided.

June 10 - August 2 | Monday - Friday | 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.$225 for the 8-week session or $30 per week | Ages 7 - 12

SENIORS

Golden Age ClubSeniors enjoy entertainment, bingo and cards while visiting with

friends. Coffee and snacks are provided every Tuesday except

the third Tuesday of the month when members bring their favorite

food for a potluck.

ART

Adult PotteryThis class consists of presenting pottery and sculpture techniques,

hand building and throwing on the potter’s wheel. Glazing

techniques will also be included. All level of students will be

accepted. Students are to provide their own clay, which can be

purchased from the center. Limited studio glazes will be provided

for students and are included in the cost of class. If you prefer

other clays or glazes, you must purchase them yourself. This class

is instructional and not for production of items to be sold or gifts

in quantity. If you want to pursue a production course, you must

contact the instructor and develop an agreement with KC Parks.

Raku Pottery (NEW)Rakuyaki (樂焼き) or Raku (樂) is a form of Japanese pottery

characterized by low firing temperatures (resulting in a fairly

porous body) and the removal of pieces from the kiln while still

glowing hot and put directly into water or allowed to cool in the

open air. Raku is considered the traditional method for creating

bowls for the Japanese tea ceremony. The finishing of the class will

be firing the raku kiln outside the building.March 2-April 6 | Saturday | 2-4 p.m.

$60, clay is $15 for 25 lbs. | 18+

Youth PotteryIntroductory class in the basic making of clay pots and includes

pinch, coil, slab, and a combination of the techniques. Glazing

techniques and under glazes, stenciled and spraying will be

incorporated into the finishing of the forms. Basic tools, glazes and

firing will be included as well as a one hour open studio per week.

Collage for Youth (NEW)An introductory art session to learn the basics of collage including

the use of scissors and creativity with mix media. The course

will explore symmetrical, asymmetrical, and a random layout.

The final project will incorporate learned ideals with the finish

product expressing foreground, middle, background with a three

dimensional effect . The course is 6-weeks and concludes with an

art show to highlight the final project.
