WELCOME TO THE HSC UPDATE FOR NOVEMBER

2006

Good news

Ann received cleft palate surgery in Nov. Now she can speak confidently without being teased. She can sing freely without being laughed at.

More financial support so that we can help more children with cleft palate like Ann.

Vaccination for some disabled children in the rural community

Dr. Xu gave a lecture in managing respiratory infections to Nainai and Aunti in the village.

Training

Dr. Clara shared her professional expertise on treatment of cerebral palsy (CP) children with the ELA staff.

Dr. Clara explained how to evaluate these CP

children and make treatment plans for them

This 13 year-old girl with cerebral palsy (CP) lives near the BeiGuan Hospital. Our staff invited her family to attend this special training. From then on, she has regularly come for treatment.

This little was taught by our staff to practice reading and writing.

I’m better now

This little boy with cerebral palsy (CP) has beenbrought to the health service centre 5 times a week for

treatment.

ELA directors went to the village clinic to find out their needs.

American Coordinator Kathy Porowski visited and encouraged us in November.
