Introduction & Induction

The Track –Getting There

Speed Limit

The Track – Operating Times

▪ Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00pm

▪ Sunday 10:00 am – 5:00pm (First 2 Sundays of the Month and the 5th Sunday of that Month)

▪ School Holiday Wednesday 10:00am – 4:00pm

▪ Public Holidays 11:00am – 5:00pm

▪ Track Closed:

• On days of Total Fire Ban, Days of high wind, Weekdays and some Public Holidays,

• Third and fourth Sunday of every month (permit condition)

• Track can be closed at any time due to prevailing weather conditions or at the Day Supervisors discretion.

Car Park / Pits Rules

• No riding bikes

• Bikes must be walked to and from track Entry & Exit areas

• All bikes must be trailered to the car park

• Working on bikes permitted

• Refuelling permitted. Stop engine

• No Oil Changes

• No smoking near bikes, fuel & others

• Working on bikes permitted

When you come to the Track

Riders MUST come to the canteen and sign-in

• Provide an emergency number in case you are injured.

• Nominate your skill level:• Expert

• Intermediate

• Novice

• Junior

• Pay for your ride

When you come to the Track

• You will be given a wrist band with your membership number

• It must be worn on your wrist – it is a safety issue

SESSIONS on the Senior Track

• If it is busy we will run sessions on the senior track

• We do close the track a few times during the day for the junior riders

The observation deck provides a 360 degree view of the two tracks

The Track – Regulations

▪ We have regulations covering track use

▪ Applicable to all members

▪ Riding & non-riding

General Track Rules

• Only members can ride at the track

• Under 18 years must be supervised by an Adult

• No pets/animals

• No pushbikes permitted on the tracks

• NO ALCOHOL OR OTHER DRUGS

• NO Spectators on the tracks

• Please clean up any of your rubbish

General Track Rules

▪ MUST sign in & wear wrist band – safety requirement

▪ MUST have AMA membership

▪ Volunteers MUST register with AMA

▪ MUST have Ambulance cover

General Track Rules

• No unauthorised person permitted on the Senior track at any time.

• Parents are authorised to go on the Junior Track only but must wear an Orange Vest at all times.

General Track Rules

▪ Riders must complete a full circuit of track

▪ Practice of any one area of the track is not permitted.

▪ No practice starts allowed

▪ No pillions

▪ No reverse riding at any time

▪ Bikes must not be parked along the tracks

General Track Rules – Bikes

▪ Mechanically safe and sound condition

▪ Not exceed 95 dBA at 30 metres

▪ Stop button must be fitted and operational on all

bikes

▪ All lights must be taped even if plastic lens are fitted

▪ Handlebars must be fitted with recognised type plugs

▪ Levers must have ball ends

▪ Throttle must return automatically

▪ Dirt bike tyres must be fitted

▪ Club reserve right to refuse use of a bike

General Track Rules – Clothing

Under 18 motocross safety gear Parents responsibility

▪ Helmets – done up correctly

▪ Eye protection. No Tear Offs

▪ Long sleeves & long pants

▪ Gloves

▪ Motocross boots

▪ Long hair must not be exposed and no hoodies

Under 18 Junior riders MUST wear:

▪ Full Face Helmet

▪ Eye protection. No Tear Offs

▪ Long sleeves & long pants

▪ Gloves

▪ Knee guards

▪ Elbow guards

▪ Body armour

▪ Full motocross style boots

General Track Rules – Clothing

ACCIDENT PROCEDURE

▪ Report all injury's as soon as possible to the Day Supervisor

▪ Refrain from riding until Supervisor considers it is safe to continue riding

▪ The MPMCC accident report form must be completed

▪ Riders must render assistance in the event of an accident; e.g. stop other bikes and notify Day Supervisor

▪ All members must have their own ambulance cover
