Puri Bagus Manggis is located directly in the center of the traditional village of Manggis, the easternmost district of Karangasem, allowing first hand insights into the culture of Bali.

Puri Bagus Manggis is a haven of tranquility amidst true Balinese village life. Built in traditional architectural style, this original family compound has been transformed into 6 exquisite guest rooms. The thatched roof of the dining room blends with the natural scenery allowing view of the rural life and the ever-present colorful religious ceremonies.

The swimming pool is set amongst rice paddies and orchid gardens with a breathtaking view of Mt. Agung. Our gracious staff would be pleased to provide you with snacks and beverages while sunbathing at poolside.

Our traditional Balinese Gazebo is a perfect place to relax with a novel and a cool drink as the soft breeze drifts by.

Our chef offers meals that are a true feast of traditional Balinese cuisine.

COOKING CLASSIf you love the food we serve then why not learn how to do it. Indonesia has a great variety of delicious local cuisine which you can learn to prepare during your stay with us. The course takes place at Puri Bagus Manggis, a luxurious house well fitted for cooking lessons and intended for those who are looking for a real Balinese atmosphere. Our cooking instructor will teach you the secrets to Indonesian cuisine.
