Welcome to Perth College Outside School Hours Care The Perth College OSHC Program will operate from Monday 9 December 2019 until Friday 24 January 2020. Before School Care and After School Care will re-open on Tuesday 28 January 2020. Girls and boys from other schools are invited to attend the Perth College holiday program. Vacation Care is available for girls and boys from Kindergarten to Year 6. Fees Payment for the Vacation Care program, including any additional costs for excursions and incursions, will be debited from your nominated bank account or credit card fortnightly by iPay in HubHello. The cost each day will be $75 per child. Perth College December Vacation Care Schedule

Week One

Monday 9 December Colour and Water Fun Run Swimsuits and runners on! Join us for a Colour Fun Run and obstacle course, and cool down afterwards with water activities such as water sponge fights, fill the water bucket games, ‘Duck, Duck, Splash’ and many more enjoyable water games. Be sure to bring a change of clothes, hat, towel and goggles!

Tuesday 10 December Farmyard on Wheels Incursion – Additional Cost $14Dress up as your favourite animal or bring in a soft toy. Learn interesting facts, have fun with some art and craft, and make some pet treats. Farmyard on Wheels will also be visiting us at 10.30 am, and we will be petting rabbits, chickens, goats and guinea pigs, as well as having pony rides!

Wednesday 11 December Games DayLet’s spend the day outdoors! We will play sport games, board games and musical games. Hats, sunscreen and sport shoes are a must!

Thursday 12 December Perth Art Gallery and Library Excursion - Additional Cost $10We are off to visit the Art Gallery of WA and the State Library. We will view the exhibitions WA Now – Eveline Kotai: Breathing Pattern, Perth Brutal: Dreaming in Concrete, and Screen Space – Sue Ford at the Art Gallery, as well as Violet & Nothing and Super Power Kids – The Exhibition at the State Library. Please note, the bus will leave the Centre at 9.45 am for the excursion.

Friday 13 December Slimy Science DayPut on your lab coats and be ready to create, investigate and test all sorts of slime and science experiments!

Week Two

Monday 16 December Forts and Picnic DayCreate some forts to play games in and join us for a picnic! We will make blanket, pillow or cardboard box forts, so feel free to bring in a large cardboard box to join in with the building.

Tuesday 17 December Edible Art DayAprons on! Make some edible ‘paint’ and paint some bread, create sculptures using skewers and grapes, make animal rice balls, or make some Christmas cookie ornaments, and lots more edible arts and crafts. Bring a food-safe container to take your art home.

Wednesday 18 December SERCUL Bush Tucker Incursion - Additional Cost $8SERCUL will visit us at 10.00 am, and we will learn how the original landowners, the Noongar people, used local native plants as a source for food, medicine and making resources in accordance with the six Noongar seasons as well as their location at that time of the year.

Thursday 19 December Christmas Craft DayCreate and make some wonderful Christmas crafts. We will make Christmas baubles, wreaths, reindeer art and origami present boxes.

Friday 20 December Christmas Silent Disco Party Incursion - Additional Cost $15Join us for a fun Christmas disco party! Wear your party clothes and be ready to dance at our Silent Disco.

Perth College January Vacation Care ScheduleWeek Three

Wednesday 8 January Green Thumbs DaySpades at the ready, let’s do some planting, harvest herbs, and learn about plants! Enjoy the day in our kitchen gardens, decorate plant pots to plant seeds in to take home, and receive herbs and recipes to cook at home.

Thursday 9 January Wellbeing & Pyjama Daycome in for a relaxing day doing mindful colouring in, make a worry critter, join in with some parachute games and garden yoga! We will explore our character strengths and engage in team building games.

Friday 10 January Costume Craft DayExplore textiles and arts and crafts, create capes, masks, and props to bring your own costume to life!

Week Four

Monday 13 January St John Ambulance First Aid Focus for Kids Incursion - Additional Cost $0St John Ambulance will visit us today and we will learn how to remain healthy. We will also discover how to provide first aid in the event of an emergency. This experience will begin at 9.30 am.

Tuesday 14 January Project Day Wool, woodwork, threads and recycled materials! Join us for a wonderful day of project making. Imagine and explore your ideas and try your hand at constructing things such as a fidget spinner, a pulley system or a kaleidoscope.

Wednesday 15 January

Treasure Hunt Day Explorers and pirates: join us for a day of scavenging for gold and digging for treasure! Come dressed up and ready for adventure, games, and arts and craft.

Thursday 16 January Wonderful Worm Waste Incursion – Additional Cost $15Learn about wonderful worms and create your own mini worm farm! The incursion will begin at 10.00 am.

Friday 17 January Prehistoric Creature DayLet’s be paleontologists today and find out about prehistoric creatures! We will learn all about this fascinating job and have fun with lots of arts and craft activities.

Week Five

Monday 20 January Zen DayStart the week with some Cosmic Yoga, create Zentangle rocks, do some mindful colouring in, and make temporary nature mandalas and zen rock gardens.

Tuesday 21 January Scitech Excursion - Additional Cost $15We are off to Scitech! Explore, imagine, and try all the awesome exhibits and shows Scitech has on offer. Please note, the bus will be leaving at 9.30 am for the excursion.

Wednesday 22 January

Move It DayRunning shoes on! Come in for a day of movement and games. Dance it out, run the obstacle course, try out a sports game, or test yourself with a beep test.

Thursday 23 January Suitcase Circus Incursion – Additional Cost $15Let’s have a go, learn and try out some circus skills! Suitcase Circus will visit us today, and after a show we will practise some juggling, plate spinning, hoops, flower sticks, diablos, balancing clubs and more. Please note, Suitcase Circus will be visiting at 10.00 am.

Friday 24 January Lunar New Year DayCelebrate the Lunar New Year by creating some ‘Year of the Rat’-themed craft. Make some dumplings or spring rolls, try out some origami and create dancing lions.
