Desde la primera lectura del Evangelio del do-mingo, escuchamos el deseo del Rey David de proporcionar una magnífica morada para el Se-ñor. Entonces Dios responde a través del profeta Nathan que fue Él quien se ocupó de David. La implicación es que si Dios puede hacer todas esas cosas maravillosas para el Rey David, ciertamente puede cuidar de su propia casa. Lo que nos damos cuenta de esto es que Dios no quiere vivir en un magnífico edificio, quiere vivir en nuestros corazones. Durante el último año hemos sido testigos de cómo todos ustedes han luchado en la fidelidad, la oración, la ayuda, la generosidad y la forma en que están construyen-do la comunidad de San Benito y Buen Pastor. Que podamos continuar haciendo de nuestros co-razones un verdadero lugar de habitación digno de Dios mismo. From the first reading of Sunday’s Gospel we hear King

David’s desire to provide a magnificent dwelling place

for the Lord. Then God replies through the prophet

Nathan that it was He who took care of David. The im-

plication is that if God can do all those marvelous things

for King David, He can certainly take care of His own

house. What we realize from this is God does not want

to dwell in a magnificent building, He wants to live in

our hearts. Over the last year we have witnessed how

all of you have been struggling in faithfulness, prayer-

fulness, helpfulness, generosity and the way you are

building up the community of Saint Benedict & Good

Shepherd . May we continue to make our hearts a true

dwelling place worthy of God Himself. May your

Christmas be filled with joy and may you be blessed be-

yond your dreams in the New Year.
