Class Mission

• To provide opportunities for students to learn strategies, gain knowledge, and think critically and creatively to be successful in school and in their community.

What’s to Learn – course outline

• Reading strategies - FCAT practice, informational articles, techniques used by writers

• Writing – the writing process, essays, summaries, Holt online scoring, comparisons, Florida Writes practice

• Listening, Viewing, Speaking – media, technology, oral presentations

• Language – vocabulary, capitalization, punctuation, grammar

• Literature – literary selections, literary elements, novels, plays, etc.
