Negative consequences- reminder of rule given•Minus points are recorded on their house chart•Minus 3 points in one week – child moves onto yellow card•3 yellow cards in a half term = red card•Parents are required to sign these cards

Literacy in Key Stage 2

1. Talking & Listening • personal presentation skills, speaking clearly to

Numeracy in Key Stage 2 : 5 areas 1. Number work

• 4 key skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

• upper range in numbers from 999-millions

• fractions, decimals, %, money

• problems with all/some of these skills needed

• Multiplication tables/facts/patterns- speed and accuracy of facts – variety of methods taught for the various ways children learn- what works best for your child

• Develop link between multiplication and division • e.g. 5x2=10 2x5=10 • 10 divided by 2 =5 and 10 divided by 5=2 etc

• remaining tables not known from the easiest tables

• Mental maths counting – very important, ‘little and often’
