Jerusalem is like no other city on earth as it is holy to the world's three major

monotheistic religions. In a special sense, Jerusalem belongs to all peoples of the world. Hasolelim is proud to represent

this great city, as runners.

The Solelim is the largest running club in Jerusalem and numbers about 70 members from Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh. The club welcomes runners of any level, age and ability to join its growing number of active runners. We are proud of the high level of participation of club members in local and international races. The Jerusalem Running Club was established in 1982. The most important objective is to give Jerusalem runners a place where they can run with others, but to still allow runners to run at their own level. Hasolelim prides itself on the unusual level of friendship and support between the members.

About the runners in the delegationHaim Zargari, a 44

year old Israel Police employee, has been running for the past 18 years. One of the club’s most successful runners, he holds a 2.35.56 marathon personal best, a 1.15.31 personal best in a half marathon and a 34.30 personal best in a 10K

A 47 year old computer programmer, Zalman Adler has been running for 30 years. His personal bests include; a 3.33 marathon, a 1.31 half marathon and a 41.30 10K.

Yaacov Zicorel has been running for the past 16 years. A 53 year old insurance agent, Yaacov holds a 2.58 personal best in a marathon, a 1.24 personal best in a half marathon and has run a 37 minute 10K.

A 38 year old software engineer, Yoram Einer has been running since 1984. Having been involved with the club since its inception and being one of its top runners, Yoram holds a 2.35.53 marathon personal best, a 1.13.29 half marathon personal best and a 34.09 personal best in a 10K.

Nachshon Shohat, another of the club’s top runners, is a 31 year old advocate. Running for 13 years, Nachshon holds a 2.36.57 personal best in a marathon, 34.00 personal best in a 10,000 meter race and a 2.00.42 personal best in an 800 meter race

A 54 year old attorney, Zvi Ehernberg has been running for 4 years. Although a relatively new runner, Zvi holds a 1.35 half marathon personal best and a 43 minute personal best in a 10K.

Rona Zamir, a new runner in the club, has been running for a 18 months. A 36 year old office administrator, Rona has recently completed her first marathon in a time of 3.42.17.

Miko Eliyahu, also a veteran member of the running club is 50 years old. A security and safety officer by profession, he has been running for 38 years. His personal bests include; a 3.17 marathon, a 1.24 half marathon and a 36.30 10K.
