Welcome to FuMPFest 2021!We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Demento back as our guest of honor to help celebrate 50 years of The Dr. Demento Show! We’ve got a great lineup for you this weekend, including Dr. Demento’s Festival of Dementia, performances by some amazing artists, The Logan Awards, and, of course, Dumb Parody Ideas. Be sure to grab a Bin-go card and follow along with the ridiculousness. And please wear a mask. We plan to have fun, but we need to keep everyone safe.

He is responsible for introducing the world to the Dr. Demento Show’s #1 most requested song, “Fish Heads”, and launching the career of the most successful artist in the entire history of funny music—“Weird Al” Yankovic. Throughout the years, the Doc-tor’s influence on pop culture has earned him induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame, a special on Comedy Central, guest appearances on Late Night with David Lettermen, Larry King Live, The Simpsons, and more.Dr. Demento is a world-renowned record collector and music his-torian, whose lifelong passion for music of all kinds is reflected in the weekly selections heard on the Dr. Demento Show. In addition to live appearances and performances nationwide, the Doctor lectures at educational institutions drawing on his ex-tensive knowledge of the history of Comedy, the music of Frank Zappa, the history of punk rock, and many other topics.Most recently, a compilation album of all-new recordings

GuestsBad Beth and Beyond - Nobody knows where New Orleans-based Bad Beth and Beyond came from, but she first began offending people in 2011 with her lecherous songs and refusal to play a proper guitar. Her album 2-Deep has been known to get hundreds of listeners in trouble at work.

Bill Larkin - Bill Larkin is a pianist, singer and comedy songwriter. He has performed on Com-edy Central, the Edinburgh, San Francisco and Orlando Fringe Festivals. His comedy album, Knowing Your Audience, was recorded live at the Green Mill Jazz Club in Chicago. He is also an award-winning stage actor.

Carla Ulbrich - Carla Ulbrich is a comical Sing-er-songwriter whose songs have been heard on SiriusXM comedy radio, NPR‘s Weekend Edition, and, of course, Dr. Demento. Carla has released 10 CDs and has performed at The Bluebird Cafe, Bird-land, The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and lots of Zoom. Oh, and she was an extra in Sharknado 2.

Carrie Dahlby - Carrie Dahlby is a classically trained opera singer from the Chicago area who lends her talents to many of the other FuMP art-ists for their own music. Carrie has released three studio albums and is best known for her songs about being a parent. In 2019 Carrie enjoyed her first “Music Guest of Honor” status at Capricon.

Ian Lockwood - Ian Lockwood is a Brooklyn- based comedian and musician. He is the co-host of Hot Teens at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective and has had recurring appearances on the pod-cast Earwolf Presents. Ian’s second studio EP, Your Dad, drops this Fall, and includes five tracks in the comedy-pop style he is known for.

Guests Insane Ian - Insane Ian is a comedy-musician from Chicago with a penchant for video games and a strange Spider-Man fetish. Recently knighted as a “comedy music god” by legend-ary radio personality Dr. Demento, Ian has made a name for himself with his quick wit and video game related song parodies.

Nuclear Bubble Wrap - Nuclear Bubble Wrap is a psychedelic/alternative rock band from Nashville, TN. Their music is known for containing lush, multi-layered psychedelic arrangements, with catchy melodies and witty lyrics. They’re known for their sense of humor and tendency to lean towards nerdy references and subject matter.

Ross Childs - Ross Childs has been improvising, singing, and performing for the better part of a decade. He has studied at iO, The Annoyance, and The Second City. He released his debut al-bum Kazoology in 2018. He’s a founding member of the sketch comedy team, “Waffle Junkies”, as well as the improv team “Flynn Tin Tin.”

Steve Goodie - Steve Goodie is a comedian, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Nashville who penned Nina Yankovic’s favorite parody, “Dumbledore,” a parody of her father’s original song “Hardware Store.” Steve has had numerous hit songs on The Dr. Demento Show and made the year end Funny 25 twice in 2017.

Sulu - Susan “Sulu” Dubow began her dement-ed career listening to the Dr. Demento Show in the mid 70’s. Her songs “I Love your Toes” and “Chocolate Toenails” made it to the top of the Top Ten. She also appears as a guest vocalist on “High School Gym” and “I Gotta Get a Fake ID” by Barnes and Barnes.

Guests The Gothsicles The Gothsicles are an indus-trial comedy band with a penchant for writing songs

about video games. Although their latest album turns their attention to animals with tracks like “Rock the Quokka” and “Stag Beetle Professional Wrestling.”

the great Luke Ski At Dragon*Con 2004, Dr. Demento declared “the great Luke

Ski” to be his radio program’s Most Requested Artist of the 21st Century. Since then, Luke has held onto that title by having songs on the show’s year-end Funny 25 countdown for 18 years in a row, including five at #1.

Worm Quartet Worm Quartet is a one-man band from Rochester, NY known for spewing hyper-

speed lyrical lunacy over catchy synthesized punky music-type stuff whilst prancing and sweating

all over the damned place. They had the #1 song of the year on the Dr. Demento show in 2004 and then again with Devo Spice in 2006, and won a Logan Award in 2011.
