• The portal is a great way to look at
grades and attendance.
• Through the portal parents are able
to see student assignments and test
scores.
• Teacher emails are also displayed in
order for parents and or students to
be able to email teachers.
Mobile Application
• We have a new and improved mobile
application for ERHS.
• It can be downloaded through the
application store on your smartphone
• Free application to stay in touch, with the
latest news.

• My son/daughter is absent.
• My son/daughter is being bullied.

Scenario 1: How do I contact a staff member?
• To communicate with a staff member is fairly easy all you need to know is
their first and last name.

Scenario 2: My son/daughter is absent.
• Parents are to excuse student absences with a signed note within 48hrs of the
absence. If an absence is not cleared it will become a “Cut” hurting the
students attendance record.
• STUDENT ABSENCE CANNOT BE EXCUSED THROUGH A
PHONE CALL OR VOICEMAIL.
Excessive Absences and Tardies
• Education Code 484200
Requires all children between the ages of 6-18
to attend school fulltime.
Scenario 3: My son/daughter is being bullied.
• REPORT IMMEDIATLEY!
• Bullying can be reported to your
school counselor or to discipline
office in room 211.
• It is important to report to ensure
your safety and to prevent other
students from being bullied.
Scenario 4: My son/daughter needs a schedule
change.
• All schedule changes will be done
by your school counselor. Any
requests please submit to your
school counselor.
• School Policy is that schedules will
not be changed to meet teacher
preference.
Scenario 5: My son/daughter is struggling
academically.
• First step is to communicate with the teacher to find out where the student is
struggling.
• Communicate with the School Counselor.
• Attend Tutoring After School in the School Library.
• Monday- Thursday 3:00pm-6:00pm
• Early out Mondays 1:00pm-3:00pm
• 6pm Bus Service is Available for Guadalupe Students
Scenario 6: Where can I purchase the PE
Uniform?
• PE Uniforms can be
purchased online for $10
Shirt and $10 Shorts.
• The deadline to purchase is
August 11th.
• PE Uniform is plain Light
Grey T-shirt, and plain
black shorts.
Students you are in the drivers seat!
• Students you are in charge of your
high school experience.
• You only go through high school
once so make sure you embrace it
and enjoy it.
• Any class you fail you will have to
make it up, therefore make sure you
pass it.
What is A-G Requirements?
• The A-G requirements are the
minimum subject requirements
needed to be taken in order to be
eligible to apply to a 4 year
university after high school.
• All classes need to be met by
passing classes with a “C” grade or
higher.

Seal of Biliteracy
• Seal that appears on your diploma and can be put on your resume.
• Seal recognized by the State of California indicating that you are fluent in both languages.

• Take an AP Foreign Language test and pass the exam.
• Take the SAT II in a Foreign Language and pass with a 600 or better.
