Sunday, December 9th 9:00am

A mysterious figure known as the “Looker-Outer” is sent to call a girl named Kim to become a super hero. Although Kim is gifted

with amazing powers, she finds it hard to believe an ordinary girl like herself can do anything great. The Looker-Outer points Kim to the Christmas story and the story of Jesus over and over, showing her that she can do incredible things and teaching her about the

incredible gift God gave us in Jesus.

We would love to share a box with each family! There is a sample of each week’s craft on the table in the back of the sanctuary to look at.. Each family’s box is marked on the front side, lower left corner with the number of children in your family. Please enjoy some family time focusing on Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas! Thank you for including us in your family Christmas traditions! ~BUMC Christian Ed Department

The Miracles of Jesus Bible Study starts Tuesday, January 15th at 6:30pm

Led by Pastor Irv Case

From the healing of lepers to turning water into wine, many studies focus on how miracles demonstrate God's power. But this study takes it a step further showing how each miracle reveals God's character, the kingdom of God, and his love for you.

Reserve your copy of the book on our Facebook event or call the church office (608)897-2515.

Everyone is welcome!

Wednesday, December 12th Meet in Fellowship Hall at 4:30pm

Wednesday, December 19th

3:30pm

Join JC Kids and JCrew for a Birthday Party! Kids should bring their friends and

we will be celebrating National Gingerbread House Day by making our own Gingerbread Mangers. Everyone is welcome to

come celebrate with us!

Sign up sheets are available now!

We have a wonderful opportunity for individuals and families to do some community service throughout the Saturdays in January. We have an event on Facebook to sign up, or let the office know which Saturday works best for you! It’s an easy and fun job for a couple of hours that makes such a difference in Brodhead!

BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE Thursday, December 13th

6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Not everyone is up and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other disease that puts a question mark over the future, and a number of other human situations make parties and joviality painful for many people in our congregations and communities. This service is to be a reflective time, accepting where we really are, and holding onto healing and hope.

In Our Thoughts & Prayers

This week we are praying for Liberty Pole UMC,

their pastor, and their church family.

Prayers of peace and comfort for the family of Dorothy Gessert as they

mourn her passing.

Prayers of health & healing for Dorothy Shimko, David Elmer,

Julie Hodgson, Ken & Sandy Meyer, Richard Becker, Dawn Shimko,

Pastor Krystal Goodger

Joys: children, peace, sunshine, coffee, answered prayers
