ANSWER:C. He will see he made a mistake and swim to shore.
Here is the whole story:
The Dog and the Bone A friendly butcher gave a dog a bone. The dog was running home with it as fast as he could go. Soon he came to the river. He started walking across the bridge. But he stopped halfway to look down. He saw his reflection in the water. It was like looking into a mirror. But the greedy dog thought what he saw was another dog. And this other dog was carrying a bigger bone.
If he had stopped to think he would have known better. But he did not think. He dropped his bone into the water. Then he jumped at the dog he saw in the river. But there was no other dog. He began to sink. He had to swim very hard to reach the shore. He finally made it out of the river. He was very sad about the good bone he had lost. He saw what a silly dog he had been.
It is very foolish to be greedy.
