BSD Goal
• “College & Career Readiness: The acquisition of the knowledge, skills and behaviors a student needs
to enroll and succeed in credit-bearing, first-year courses at a postsecondary institution (such as a
two-or four-year college, trade school, or technical school) without the need for remediation. ”
• Southridge sees all students as unique individuals with personalized interests and goals
“college” does not look the same for every student

• Choose electives wisely– Freshman Year/Sophomore Year
• we are figuring out our interests and we want to try a lot of different things
– Junior/Senior Year• we are narrowing in on what we want to do post graduation. Let’s be
particular in our electives to help you in your choice of post high school plans. All students are welcome and encouraged to take at least ONE IB class, whether you enter the IB diploma program or not!
