Rev Cheryl Meban, Chaplain serving in Ulster University – Jordanstown and Belfast campuses: Pray for A level students finishing exams and turning towards what might lie ahead, including life as new students in a new place after the summer; for staff working with post-graduate students on Masters dissertations and Doctoral theses; for chaplains and volunteers preparing for the arrival of a small group of new international students next week. These students are expected to need lots of help with their English, and lots of hand-holding through the “quiet” summer months. Pray for local volunteers ready to “adopt” and support them, showing them the hospitality of God, so they discover the reality of the love of Jesus. Carrigart and Dunfanaghy Presbyterian Churches – Rev Andrew Watson: Andrew writes, “Imagine a church service opened with a soloist singing 'The Lord's my Shepherd' to an Irish air so haunting the congregation are hushed into silence. Or a vintage car rally where the church does the catering, this year adding to the hospitality by making available free scriptures. Imagine two little congregations 'punching above our weight' with Gospel messages in local press and online. You don't have to imagine, this is us! This week Today 11.30 am Final Service of Revd Dr Isaac Thompson as Minister of Cookstown First, before his

retirement from parish ministry. As 16th Minister of Cookstown First (1994-2017) since 1646, he now becomes Minister Emeritus of First Presbyterian Church Cookstown, the first time our congregation has had a retired minister for 125 years, since our 8th minister, Dr Hamilton Brown Wilson retired in 1892.
