Parent Notification Guidelines•  AlertNow is to be used for school events only.

– AlertNow is not to be used to promote or solicit fundraising activities.• You may publicize events and fundraising activities in the school newsletter, but do not send an

AlertNow message or phone call with the purpose of promoting fundraising.

• AlertNow is intended to keep parents informed, but should not be over-used.– Group events when possible and send as an email only.

• For field-trips and paper-work reminders, use the grouping feature.– Use school-wide announcements for events that are school-wide: open houses,

parent/teacher conferences, fall festivals, etc.• Confidential information should not be shared or sent via AlertNow.

– Blank forms only.– No report card or grade information.

• Emergencies will be communicated via the District Office.– School Closings, Dismissals, Delays– Evacuations, Lock Downs, Lock Outs

• When placing a call:– Identify yourself & your school.– Leave a brief and concise message.– Say a farewell or goodbye.
