How to get involved
Support your child at homeCreate a quietspace for your child to do his/her homework. Assist with
homework assignments and projects. Make sure that your childhas the necessary supplies (paper, pencils, etc.) to completeassignments.
Stay informed--Schools utilize various strategies
(letters, phone calls, meetings, home visits) to communicate withparents. It is important to stay informed about school activitiesand your childs progress.

How to get Involved
Volunteer at schoolReady Schools welcome thepresence of parents on campus. Volunteer to help out at yourchilds school. Possible activities include: helping in the library,
assisting the teacher in the classroom, organizing schoolfundraisers.
Participate in School Committees and
OrganizationsReady schools invite parents toparticipate in making important decisions about how their childsschool should operate. Join the PTA or volunteer to serve on aschool committee.
