Monday 06.15.20 – No work was performed due to unavailability of milling machine for “Lot 14 – Test Strip #3” and “Lot #15 -Test Strip #4”. Tuesday 06.16.20 – Contractor placed P-603 Tack Coat material in preparation of P-401 application. Contractor placed P-401 material for “Lot #16” on top mat, directly north of centerline beginning where “Lot #15 -Test Strip #4” placement had been terminated, progressing from east to west on Runway. P-401 HMA material for Mix Design #4 was delivered on site. Electrical Contractor arrived on site and began mobilization of equipment and materials and performing analysis of systems that had been installed in 2019. Contractor performed preliminary shoulder regrading on shoulders of Runway. Wednesday 06.17.20 – Contractor placed P-603 Tack Coat material in preparation of P-401 application. Contractor placed P-401 material for “Lot #17” on top mat, directly south of centerline beginning where “Lot #14 -Test Strip #3” placement had been terminated, progressing from east to west on Runway. P-401 HMA material for Mix Design #4 was delivered on site. Electrical Contractor arrived on site and continued performing analysis of systems by energizing circuits for PAPIs and Primary Wind Cone that had been installed in 2019. Electrical Contractor arrived on site and continued performing analysis of systems by energizing circuits for PAPIs and Primary Wind Cone that had been installed in 2019. Electrical Contractor also began installing counterpoise. Contractor performed preliminary shoulder regrading on shoulders of Runway. Contractor placed P-603 Tack Coat material in preparation of P-401 application. Friday 06.19.20 – Contractor placed P-401 material for “Lot #19” on top mat, far southernmost lane progressing from east to west on Runway including full length of east Blast Pad to approximately Sta: 24+50 due to weather. Contractor performed coring operations without notice given to Engineer and without Engineers’ approval on “Lot 14 – Test Strip #3” and “Lot #15 -Test Strip #4”. 1 st lift of P-401 material was damaged in the process of coring operations. Saturday 06.20.20 – Contractor performed milling operations on “Lot 14 – Test Strip #3” and “Lot #15 -Test Strip #4”. Contractor placed P-401 material for “Lot #20” on top mat, far southernmost lane progressing from east to west on Runway from approximately Sta: 24+50 to far west end of Blast Pad. Crew also paved the top lift of the Runway Bump Outs on the east and west end of the runway. Sunday 06.21.20 – No work was performed on site.

Charged (date) – Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing was performed on P-401 “Lot #16”, “Lot

#17”, “Lot #18, “Lot #19” and “Lot #20” with no exceptions taken on initial acceptance criteria.

– Pay Factor reported as 89.68% for Lot #16, and 106% for lots #17, #18, #19, and #20.

– Grade analysis performed by Engineer on P-401 “Lot #16”, “Lot #17”, “Lot #18, “Lot #19” and “Lot

#20” with no exceptions taken on initial acceptance criteria.

– Material from “Lot 14 – Test Strip #3” and “Lot #15 -Test Strip #4” was removed by mill on 6/20/20

and grade was checked by T-O Engineers to assure grade requirements were met for milling

operations.

6. Describe Anticipated Work by Contractor for Next Period

– Repair P-401 material on bottom lift that was damaged from coring operations for “Lot 14 – Test Strip #3” and “Lot #15 -Test Strip

#4”.

– Finish P-401 HMA top lift placement on Runway.

– Edge Drain Cleanout installation.

– Installation of Runway Edge Lights and other electrical items.

– Place Topsoil and regrade Runway Shoulders.

7. Problem Areas/Other Comments (Revisions to plans and specifications approved or denied, delays difficulties, etc., and actions taken.)

– Calendar day 468 of 140 for runway shutdown.

– No weather days granted during this period.

– Contractor is anticipating liquidated damages for working days overage at the end of the project.

– On May 17, 2020, per the contract documents, the Contractor submitted a letter on notice of intent to submit claim related to

survey secondary control elevations. Claim included time for rework, standby time and potentially related to asphalt placement in

2019.

– On 6/20/20, Engineer requested from Contractor a comprehensive plan that dictates procedures and conformance to contract

specifications for addressing damaged areas of P-401 material on bottom lift from “Lot #1”, “Lot #2”, “Lot #8”, and “Lot #9” that

were damaged from coring operations by Contractor without notice given to Engineer for “Lot 14 – Test Strip #3” and “Lot #15 -

Test Strip #4” on 6/19/2020.
