Weekend Story

I t was a brand new day, I am always feeling grateful that I can st ill start my life

with a new day like there is st ill a day that waiting for me. As Chinese New Year is

around the corner, I decided to make myself a new hairstyle. I woke up early in

the morning and drive myself there. The new hairstyle took me more than four

hours and I’m sat isfied with it .

In the afternoon, my brother that went into the National Service give us a call

that he was sick so my family and I decided to visit him. After a two hours

journey, I meet my brother and give him a hug. Fortunately, he is not seriously

sick so that we don’t have to worry so much about him. He then tell us his story

inside the camp.

As he telling his story, I was wondering what will I go through and at the same

t ime feels so jealous about him. The very first thing I realized after he went into

the National Service is he changed his personality a lot . My brother was a very

irritable guy before and now he becomes more patient and seems to be good

at expressing himself than before. He did tell me that he feels so thankful to this

program and so did I. I’m not sure that will he change back to who he was and

a program itself is not enough to change the personality of one people but I

believe that it will be an access to him.

When the night is here, I received a call from my aunty that my cousin gave

birth to a new baby girl named Emma and she just got out from the hospital

therefore we can went over her house and visit the baby girl. We are so excited

about this good news.

In the next morning, I fetch my mother all the way to my cousin house. We have

been following my uncle’s car to the dest ination. When the moment we get

there, all of us can’t wait to see the baby girl. You can feel the happiness when

you are excited enough to wait for seeing something new. It’s a same thing

when you are going to face some new challenges, you will feel fears but also

excitement at the same t ime.

We walked up the stairs and finally reach the house. Then we knocked. I was

hoping to see the lit t le baby girl in my first sight but it was my cousin herself who

opened up the door for us. I can feel a lit t le bit disappointed but it disappears so

soon. After some greeting with my cousin, it ’s the t ime for us to meet the cute

lit t le baby girl. She is way more adorable than I imagined.

This is the first t ime I get to meet a new born baby girl. She seems like so t iny unt il

she can be easily hurt by some lit t le actions. Besides, she always keep her eyes

closed. I slight ly touched her head, her face, her hands, her legs and her body.

As I touched her hand, she holds my finger t ight then she opened up her eyes

and gazing at me. I almost want to see she wants to know. I can felt it . At the

moment, many things come to my mind. There is always a circle around the

world. When a new life begins which means that there will be someone losing

their life on somewhere around the world. Later, she closed her eyes up and

continue sleeping. We then went back home.
