It's hard to believe our 1st quarter is coming to a close! Please continue to pray for our staff, students and families. God is good, and this is His school. We want Him represented all year long! For October 11, the topic will be "Auto-Focus: Types, Uses, Configuration, and Calibration". We will talk about concepts, do hands-on practice, and calibrate cameras that have the ability to do micro-focus adjustments. As a special side-topic, if you have any interesting pictures of fall colors or the recent Supermoon Bloodmoon Fullmoon Lunar Eclipse, bring some to share as well. Women are cordially invited to “Women Of Spirit” on Monday night, October 26, 6:30 PM at Brighton Adventist Church. Christian sculptor Victor Issa will present The Heart Of Jesus – a life-sized sculptor that he will bring that evening, and will share the life-changing experience of studying the Biblical story of the woman caught in adultery that inspired it. Delicious meal served. (Italian). Reservations essential to attend by calling 720-980-9006 or 303-659-1999 by Oct. 19. Child care by reservations only. Come, and bring a friend! HMS Kindergarten Reading Program: On October 17 from 9 to 10 am we'll be hosting another reading program in the HMS Kindergarten class. The theme will be Teddy bears. Kids are welcome to bring their favorite teddy bear to our classroom;) we'll do a craft and have a snack too. Ministry Help Needed: We are looking for a co-leader in the Primary Sabbath School class and Adventurers need someone to help with crafts. If you are interested in either of those areas please give the church office a call. Thank you! Thanksgiving Baskets: This year our pantry is starting out at zero cans of food. So we need your help in coming up with the non perishable food items for our baskets. The canned or packaged items we are looking for are: green beans, pumpkin, gravy mixes, cranberry sauce, pasta and sauce, mac & cheese, soups. We will expand our list next week. We will have a separate table in the foyer for Thanksgiving baskets starting next week. And of course any monetary donations will be accepted.
