Week 6 Term 3 2016
Heads Up At Hobartville
Last week we started a transition program at Hobartville. Titled
“Heads up at Hobartville,” it’s designed to give children starting
school the following year a taste of what is to come at big school.
Please see Mrs Fleetwood for further information or the flyer
attached to the newsletter.
Parents approaching other students
Parents, please ensure that if, for any reason, you have an issue with
another child, you do not take the matter into your own hands and
approach the child. Let myself or other Executive staff know and they
will be able to deal with the issue for you.
Kindergarten 2017
We are currently taking enrolments for Kindergarten 2017. The
earlier the numbers come in, the easier and more efficient it is to set
up our classes. If you haven't enrolled your child for 2017, please do
so as soon as possible. If you also know someone who is coming to
Hobartville next year, can you please ask them to do the same.
District Athletics
Congratulations to all the Hobartville representatives at the District
Athletics Carnival. Your attitude and behaviour were fabulous. Well
done for being such great representatives of Hobartville. See some
of our stars on the next page.
Dance a thon
Thank you to everyone for supporting our Dance a thon.
Please don't forget to return your money and sponsor form. Thank
you to Kelly from the P&C for her endless hours of counting money.
Safety Reminder
Another reminder about our school transport bay. This area is for
Department of Education and authorised vehicles only. Please do not
enter this driveway. It is for the safety of all our students. Please also
be very mindful of the crossing at our front gate on Valder Avenue.
This is an extremely busy crossing with minimal markings. Thank you
council for our new flags.
Staff Farewell
Thursday marks the final teaching day for Mrs Brennan who has been
a member of the teaching staff for many years. We wish her the very
best for the future and look forward to hearing about her retirement
adventures. Farewell from us all.
Please remember that 4.00pm Friday is the freeze to all school
based payments as our Hobartville PS bank account will be closed.
Transactions can be made from Wednesday 7th September.
