THE FINAL PRODUCT

Page 3: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

My final product will be a site/platform that

is about teaching even those that are

uncomfortable with this topic how to study,

learn and memorize English (and many other

languages) lessons.

On the next slide there is a mockup of the

front page of my site/platform that is about

English lessons but as I have mentioned

before there will be other languages lessons

too.

Page 9: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

THE NEED FOR THE PRODUCT

Page 10: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

There is a need for this site/platform of mine

(especially in Brazil) because almost 89% of

learners find English (or any other language) lessons

at language schools or at regular schools boring and

also because learning English (or any other

language) at language schools takes too long and

employers can’t hardly wait for their employees to

speak English, Spanish or any other language as

wise as an owl! For educators at regular schools this

site/platform of mine will be a way to make their

classes/lessons more interesting and engaging.

THE TEACHING

Page 12: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

My site/platform will teach English

(and other languages) lessons in an easy

and fast way; in a way students

(especially grown-ups) can learn

English (or other languages) and

memorize what they learn so that they

become as wise as an owl in many

languages!

Page 13: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

THE USERS

Page 14: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

Learners (grown-ups or not), educators,

and people who want to fund the

site/platform or just advertise a product

will be the users of my site/platform.

The site/platform will be accessible

online from anywhere in the world (or

almost all the world), will have support

for multiple languages and will provide

high-quality learning.

Page 15: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

THE ENRICHMENT OF THE

CURRICULUM

Page 16: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

By incorporating my site/platform into

their curriculum, educators will enrich

it besides feeling accomplished and

feeling as if they were innovating their

classes every day and making their

students motivated to learn many

languages in a useful way.

Page 17: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

THE CONTENT

Page 18: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

The technology of my site/platform will

enable students to learn and memorize

English/Spanish/etc. contents through

motivating, engaging and collaborative

exercises/projects, etc. because my

site/platform will provide students with

a variety of projects/lessons that can be

used by educators and learners.

Page 19: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

ASSESSMENT & PROGRESS

Page 20: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

Learners will be assessed within my site/platform. There

will be time-based exercises, reading comprehensions,

essays, score exercises, video chats for educators to check

students’ listening and speaking, quizzes, project hand-ins,

etc. Educators will have the opportunity to designate

especial tasks like projects based or just like the ones from

the site/platform to check on students’ knowledge on a

specific skill of the target language but learners will have to

send the project to the educator’s area so that they can be

assessed by the educator and by the site. The progress will

be displayed as a typical percentage, scores, charts, etc. in

PDF format and learners will be able to print it out. My

site/platform will allow educators, learners, etc. participate

directly in an environment that keeps track of their

progress.

ONE OF THE ASSESSMENT CHARTS

Page 22: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

CERTIFICATE

Page 23: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

Learners will be able to get a certificate

that will only be available for those

who have 100% in all exercises and

levels of the courses/projects offered. Of

the other exercises, quizzes, etc. learners

will only have a progress chart in PDF

format so that they can print it out.

RESEARCH FOR UPDATES

Page 26: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

In conjunction with my site/platform I

plan to conduct a research on how

efficient and effective my site/platform is

so that new features can be introduced to

the site and those ones that need changing

may be improved/updated or discontinued.

The research will be based on the scores

and progress charts and also on learners’

and educators’ opinions through some pre-

established questions.

Page 27: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

THE BIGGEST RISKS

Page 28: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

The biggest risks I see with my

site/platform are:

• educators not using the site/platform

to its fullest in their classrooms and

instead using it only for “special

occasions” and continuing with

boring and demotivating classes

• learners not using the site/platform to

its fullest and not using it seriously

Page 29: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

THE BIGGEST IMPACTS

Page 30: WEEK 6 - ASSIGNMENT 6.2: THE FINAL PRODUCT PITCH

I hope my site/platform have huge impacts

on all boring lessons/classes all around the

world (or almost all around the world) and

may be an interactive and engaging learning

environment to improve and increase the

level of millions of learners and educators

and I also hope my funders’ profits be as big

as their feeling of being investing on a

learning technology that has a real impact on

millions of people’s lives and careers.
