POTENTIAL MATERIALS

▸ Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic - The benefit of this material is that it is strong, reliable and a commonly used material for boat hulls that can stand the test of time.

▸ Wood:

▸ Susceptibility to moisture is highly important

▸ Teak is often used due to its properties.

▸ Darker timbers going out of style but used to be popular in luxury cruisers.

▸ Glass panels are commonly used for windows. With glass becoming less expensive this is a material that is projected to be used much more often.

▸ Stainless steel can be reinforced to minimise the risk of rust.

▸ Strong and durable and commonly used in trims, hand rails and other detail parts of the boat structure.
